I understand that but is the quality the same in the two?
In my experience, no. I've personally seen Centennials outlast anything else in terms of daily play in a commercial setting.

people will steal the centenials one ball at a time and replace them with cheap balls from there home....id never put centenials out in my pool hall( if i had one). they will disapear faster than you put them out.

like i said they will replace the centennials with cheap balls one at a time(steal one at a time while putting a non centenial ball in its place)....depending on the worker they arent gonna notice the difference in the balls ever or untill its to late....or when they do...they dont have any proof....unless its on cameraNow that's just plain sad... How do they turn the rack back in if they are taking balls from it? Do they not check the racks?
I can relate to all of this. Except the two extra cue balls? The set comes with one so why the need for two more? (the measle ball and another to brake with)
I weighed the balls that came with my sets. All of the super pros and Cents weighed 168 grams. The cue ball with the super pros was not the same weight.
Blue dot 163
Arimith Logo blue 164
Measle ball 168
Cent Blue dot 168
I like using the Measle ball because it shows the rotation. I use a cheaper break ball as stated because of all the abuse it gets. You will start to see crescents and scuff marks. I also believe that over time the ball will start to get flat spots and deformed. I also wipe both ball off after each game. Just my way of keeping my equipment in good condition. As I said I paid for it and I want to keep it in the best condition as possible. I don't believe in throwing away my money. I believe in buying the best and keeping it that way. Cheaper in the long run.
I have a measles ball that I use when I practice but bring in the Centennial blue dot when my buddy comes over for straight pool. I also can tell which way the ball is spinning without the measles. I think it is more of a TV or tournament ball so you can more plainly see the spin on the monitor or from the rail.
Correct I think they made tha cue ball for TV so us here at home can see the spin. I am glad they changed the 4 and 12 I had a hard time telling the 4 from the 2 when they used the standard colors.
Yeah, they changed the 4 and 12 to pink for the TV set and also changed the 7 to a different shade of brown so you could tell it from the 8 on TV. No change to any colors in the standard set. If you want the pink 4 ball you need to order the TV set.
I bought the Super Pros TV set a few years ago. It came with the measle ball, a Rempe training ball, and a bottle of cleaner. I dont know if they still offer these but I have been very happy with them. A lot of tournaments are using the measle ball now so you should get used to playing with one. I figured it was a better buy getting it with the set compared to what they sell for by themselves.
You can always pick up a red circle or blue dot cheaper than you can the measle. Course I dont mind the colors of the TV set, something tells me the OP may not like them

This is similar to what I bought, but mine had the TV colored 2 and 4.
