Ball Return System for 9' Diamond

I have a 2001 9' Diamond Professional table and am looking for a ball return system that will work on this table. Diamond no longer makes a ball return for this table, but I have to believe there is one out there somewhere that could be adapted to my table. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

Do these exist? I thought that was the difference between a pro am and professional (plus the one piece slate). I'd love to see some pics and might even want to get one if possible for the professional. I assume RCK can do it if he said to call him. I may just do that.

Anyone else know anything about this? Again I'd love to see some pics if a prefab one exists.

Just got off of the phone with RKC. Just need to say how knowledgeable and generous he is with his time. While my table isn't able to be converted to a ball return professional (because of the square pockets), he talked to me for what would be way too long to most people as busy as he is. Two thumbs up for Glen.

He also gave me the great suggestion of putting carpet behind the pockets (between the leather and aprons) to protect the balls from hitting the screws and making them super quiet. Wish I had thought of that before dinging a couple of my relatively new balls.

Thanks again Glen.

Sorry to bump this old thread but is the return system still a "no go" for a diamond professional pool table?

AFAIK Diamond never made a ball-return Pro. Seen/played on a bunch and all were drop pocket.

Funny, since I’ve been playing on one for almost 30 years. One of the first Greg S. made, and I often conferred with him re: R&D. I guess demand wasn’t enough to continue offering the mechanism. It works reliably enough, but boy is it noisy. Pocketing a ball is like winning a game while playing pinball.

Supposedly there is possibly a way to do this. I will hopefully find out next week and let everyone know from Diamond Billiard Products.

I ended up buying a used return system from Diamond. Please see the pics below on what it looks like.

You either have to cut the baskets off the drop pockets that came with your table, or buy the pocket liners from Diamond in order to use that ball return.

Its better to call me 702-927-5689

Diamond has advised me already that this needs to occur. Will call if I get in a bind. Thanks.

Are you sure you'd want to? Years ago, asked a neighbor why he didn't use his table. He replied that grandkids had screwed up it's ball return..

(edit) They'd stuffed all kinds of weird stuff down the pockets. Made me think right then that if I'd get a table I'd eliminate that potential problem by going drop pockets.

Since this is a thread that began in 2014, I'm wondering what the opening poster did?

Yes I am. The old nets pockets are ruining my knuckles on my hand and I am tired of cherry picking the balls out of my table for the last 12 yrs.
