Running out billiards,12 north dundalk ave, baltimore,md,has anything u could look for ,action big n small and one of the best players ever to play the game is still working there,72 years old(cigar Tom Vanover).

From one Okie to a fellow Okie.

I am not familiar with all the places in DC yet and haven't been to Baltimore yet but I hear that Big Daddy's in Glen Burnie is a nice place and comes recommended from a fellow AZ'er that frequents the place.

It might be worth a trek outside of Baltimore to check it out. I do not think it is too far out.

Sorry I can't be of more help but I'm still new here.

Good luck and good shootin'

Sounds like my kind of place. At Costas having some crab...might have to head on over in a bit. Thank you!

We went by the Green Room first. Gentleman running the pro shop hooked us up with Costa's. Good dinner! I bet the pool is going to be fun too! I will tell 'em Richie sent us!

The Green Room looked good too. I just prefer practicing on 9 footers.

Thanks again!

Another great room is Top Hat Cue Club, North of the city.

Excellent conditions, cheap rates. IIRC, they do a Sunday tourney (call them for that).

A few of the tables have been perfected by the best mechanic in the area, John Burns (AZBro Scruffy1), with Diamond Black cushions and extended subrails. They play SWEEEEEET.

Been a while since I have been in and I have met a few folks there that I really hit it off with.

I see something Imperator that is calling my name though!

The gentleman at The Green Room suggested Tophat as well. Looks like it would have been an awesome stop!

We stopped by Running Out and were given the VIP treatment. I was given the best table in the house as it had just been covered and played great! Was told about the Maryland state champ as well! Wish I could have donated a buck or two to him. ;)

Thanks guys for the help. Had a good time exploring Baltimore!

Trying to recover from the all night drive here in Tunica. Going to play in the BCA 8 ball tournament this weekend and watch some of the good players play!

Ken

p.s. random guy came up while I was practicing and started talking to me earlier. He must have been an AZer as he went right into a what pro pool needs today thread! :P

I felt very welcome! Got to do my ball banging while on a family vacation...was good stuff!

Better you, than your wife!!!!

My wife is very supportive of my ball banging! ;)

Seriously though, I am a blessed man to have a wife like her. Can you imagine a wife who lets you add 6+ hours to a cross country drive due to stopping to shoot pool...for practice? On this trip I played pool in Springfield, MO, Pittsburgh, PA, Tom's River, NJ, Baltimore, MD, and Tunica, MS.

I have a forum set up specifically for this purpose http://www.classifiedbilliards.com/mybb/forumdisplay.php?fid=95 that's filtered and searchable by State,,,,,,,,,,not alot of entries yet, but all are invited to enter any and all poolrooms you frequent.

Once it starts getting populated it can be a very good resource, both for travelers, as well as Promoting you own, or favorite rooms, so please stop by and help complete this list with rooms you know, or own.
