It is attributed to a number people but I think credit goes to George Bernard Shaw.

Just to be clear, Lee and I understand each other quite well and I had no problem with him. I think his trip into hot water started with someone from England not quite understanding the boundaries of "woofing" language. I have to admit that I have trouble myself understanding why language that could get you a warning or banning on the main forum is perfectly acceptable on another forum.

Shaw said the same thing several times apparently with slightly different wording. He is often misquoted or perhaps someone else said two people's divided by a common language. Most of the famous quotes aren't original it seems. Easy to misquote, note the "un" that snuck into your quote. :grin:
