Eddie Taylor: He is on the table starting at about twenty-six minutes. Starts off at kindergarten but quickly gets interesting. More banking goodness from one of the greatest.

Looks like it could be similar to on-the-rail aim points (behind the equal angle cushion nose spot) for rolling balls. One aiming trick that helps me is offsetting the angle line to what becomes the outside of the ball on the exit line.
Could be. I stick aim the in/out and I'm not real nazi about the apex. Works though. Lotta that is pocket dependent anyway. I like the set and forget of aimable stuff.Looks like it could be similar to on-the-rail aim points (behind the equal angle cushion nose spot) for rolling balls.

Page 167. Vern Elliot’s Impossible Bank.I have the book in front of me. I was looking for a collection of Banks That Look Like They Don't Go - I don't recall if that's another book. I don't play banks so If one comes up I need to take, I just aim it.
Well how about that?Page 167. Vern Elliot’s Impossible Bank.

Here is one of several examples, if it's the shot I'm thinking of. Joe Tucker makes it three out of four in another video.I think ive seen in on u tube![]()
Yep, that was the biggie in my mind. As you say, there are several. Here is one of several examples, if it's the shot I'm thinking of. Joe Tucker makes it three out of four in another video.
Dr. Dave has a high-speed video showing that there is no double kiss and the angles involved. Lots of outside spin.
Bob Jewett posted a video a couple posts down from here.Any chance we could see a pic of it?

Think part of it might be the profile of the rails? Like maybe the cloth being pulled might compress the rubber and arc the rails in an angle near the point to not be level with the rest of the rail and help the ball upward? Here is one of several examples, if it's the shot I'm thinking of. Joe Tucker makes it three out of four in another video.

Correct. Hit it hard like that. The bank is such a double kiss cliche that making it is counter intuitive. I still find it confusing and need to be on a table looking at it.I get it, slight cut, gives the object ball english, closing the angle for the pot, on the otherhand avoiding double kiss? I wouldnt use left english, unless opening the angle of OB.
Or am i wrong?
