Phuong Vinh Bao played the match of his life today, when he beat David Pennör 40 - 5 in 4 innings, scoring 3-25-2-10. It was a Q-match in the Antwerp World Cup, playing for a spot in the 32-player main draw. Bao shares the 40 in 4 with Dick Jaspers, who beat Andreas Efler in 2018 by a score of 40-0 in 4. The Vietnamese now also holds the world record for best match in a World Cup, removing Sayginer's 40 in 6 from the books.

What does the circled T mean?

Which is normally taken at the end of a turn in which a player has reached at least half of the match length. Poor Pennor had taken 7 shots at that point.
I almost hesitate to correct Bob Jewett, because he is always so strong on facts. But the T doesn't represent the half-time pause. It's a time-out, which is an extention of 40 sec on the shot clock. Two of those per player per match.

I an 99% sure Bob meant half time pause with time out. On pool when player take time out, it is normally 5 minute bathroom break..

As @Poolmanis said, I was confused by the pool terms "extension" and "time out". On the other hand, I think the pool usage makes more sense. ;)
