Can we hear a synopsis of what was said?
Seems like every time money is owed, health or family situations are used as a get out of jail card. Everyone has personal issues to deal with and still has to keep up on responsibilities. Your troubles should not be visited on everyone else, they have plenty of their own to deal with.

Mark and I were discussing the agenda for this weeks show and what current topics might be addressed and reported on. The payment issue came up so we decided to give him a call about it. We initiated the interview and he decided that yes, perhaps a public statement was in order.
Mark, can you summarize in a few sentences what Barry said?
I listened but found myself skipping ahead a lot. The only clear thing I made out was:
1) There are four players (one is Dennis O.) that have not been fully paid
2) All four will be fully paid before DCC
He rambled about some worldwide bank and dropped "Pepsi" in there somewhere but I could not tell what any of that meant.

He needs to GET OUT of pool. These types are just another reason 'pool people' have an uphill climb when trying to get the general public (and existing players) to invest in this sport.
You can hear (in the recorded interview) the amount of 'brain damage' (not logical) chronic alcohol abuse has left this 'business man". Saying as a business person 'I don't like to count the money'... 'that not what I do this for'...etc...
Running an event of any kind is a 'business risk' just like any other speculative venture. His statements are Simply Stupid Crazy. Someone (or some group-or player group) needs to get this event OUT of 'his drunken logic direction' OR simply boycott him into complete absentia.
I don't care who he said it getting on board to 'shield him' from taking business risks. He has proven he is NOT the right person that should be in control of ANYTHING business related. After this 'interview' it should be obvious to everyone in ear shot of this guy. Boycott and hold a parallel renamed 'US OPEN event'.... or simply boycott 9 ball (piss in pool) and move it to REAL respectable rotation game (10 ball WPA or the like). Players/Sponsors/spectators have to make to a laud statement against this guy or these 'business practices'.
Invest in positive pool people, get the clowns OUT.
