Hi cue fans

Well how about this stunner. This is the only Barry Szamboti player in the world with lazy S inlays. The inlay work here is extremely time consuming and it never features on basic players, just on the fancy higher end Szamboti cues, like the snakewood cue I sold recently.

Another rare thing...it's made from Brazilian rosewood. The icing on the cake is the original Penn linen wrap (white with brown spec) and piloted ivory 5/16-14 joint. What a stunning cue. Certainly one of the nicest players I have ever seen.

Butt: 15.62oz
Shaft 1: 4.28oz, 13.20mm
Shaft 2: 4.32oz, 13.21mm

Great cue. I love the wood and the veneers and the S ring. Is that a Szam thing? I can't think of it on any other cue.

Bill McDaniel and Leon Sly have also made cues with lazy S rings.

Amazing cue! I cannot recall a prettier Szamboti. Those are my favorite Szamboti veneers and they look great with the Brazilian rosewood. IMO, one S ring is perfect.

Yep McDaniel and Sly copied Gus Szamboti it usually has peacocks as well like the one Bill did!

Well everybody copied Gus and why not? He's the East Coast (LOL) Master.

Anybody got a pic of a Gus with this work?

I hope this kind of "educational thread bumping" is OK with the mods. It sure can't hurt the sale and we are all here to learn (well those that aren't here to throw mud balls anyway).

si cgs on your sale....please tell me the secret in selling a szam....i think they should sell themselves however i have had a hard time getting mine sold..:confused:
