Bartram Takes It Down!!!

I may be wrong-Ive only seen Chris play three or four times. I didnt see a MONSTER- just a pretty good Open player.

Didnt ALex just give him the 7 and beat him btw? I know ALex won the first set as he was my horse. Chris has great focus and stamina but his overall game is not yet Monster class IMHO

Are you talking about Alex Rodriguez or the Alex who was a World Champion, US Open Champion, etc, etc, etc.? Taking only the 7 from Alex P. makes you more than just a good Open player. Chris is a solid talent and he proved it.

lol at calling Chris just a pretty good open player. Efren gave Jimmy Wetch the 7 when Wetch was in his prime and Efren ran over him. Would you consider Wetch "just a pretty good Open player"?

I spoke to Chris about 45 minutes ago and congratulated him, he is a great guy and a good friend. I was very happy to see him play so good, that was perhaps the best I have seen him play, I only watched maybe 10 minutes of it on the first day.

Strongly agree!

Congrats to Chris. He took on the challenge and handled it like the man he is. He wore Mike down with his consistent solid play. The best man won!

Mike may be a great breaker and runout player, but he didn't manage his game anywhere near as well as Bartrum.

Bartrum might not have that top, top gear that some pros have but he's got plenty of talent, intelligence, experience and most of all heart.

I really like the way Chris thought out his runouts and he executed very well last night.

Yes I would but I never was much of a handicapper, you should take advantage of me some time.

And Im using 'Open' as the highest category- I should have said Pro-maybe that would have been more agreeable. Plus I hit my head falling off the Turnip Truck so I was a little woozy at the time.

To me monsters are Alex, CS Yang, Chang, Wu, Busta, Orcollo etc. Chris isnt there yet.

I think it comes down to our very different visons of 'Monsters'
