So I finally bought a house about 4 months ago with the wife. She gave me FULL control of the basement.....obviously I have some work to go....but opinions are always appreciated.

LOL. I like your priorities.
Pool table and big screen setup first. Worry about the walls ,paint and carpet later.
If I setup the table first nothing would get done...:-}

5) Where are your windows? Hopefully not behind the insulation. That would be job#2
Good luck with your project.
you can add return ducts and heat ducts to your basement this will help alot to move more air ..it is easy and cheap to do..good luckTheBook said:Living in a northern area make sure that the basement is warm otherwise you won't use it. Also put something over the concrete floor such as plywood or a rubber mat so it is easier on your feet and legs.
My problem is the upstairs get warm due to body heat from company, cooking, or sunlight. Since this is where the thermostat is the furnace doesn't come on. Therefore the basement gets cold. When this happens I use a small propane space heater.
Looks like the old Plumb hammers that we use to use at GM. Brings back some memories.
