Apparently Efren played this young man before and the young man took it down. This is the final installment in a race to 21 AND apparently the young Bata gave Efren a 9 ball spot.

What I liked about this video was the fact that phones were ringing, glasses clinging, people talking, ordering beer, walking around, standing up, sitting down....little bit of sharking and no one seemed to get pissed. Although around the 30 min mark, I would like to know what Efren said to the young fellow.
 
Apparantly Efren was talking to Francisco Bustamante (who is sitting offscreen) and said the young man was imitating Busty's penchant for throwing cue sticks haha

What is the point when someone walks up to the table and seems to be marking something?
it happens all the time

how many kids are spotting efren at 9 ball how old is this kid now,is he a champion too

The kid was very composed...… but I really can't see how he would be giving Reyes weight?! Must have really drilled him last time.....

They are marking the location of a ball or balls in case they are moved on the subsequent shot. Touching a ball with your hand and moving it an inch or two is not a foul over there, but just like here your opponent has the option to replace it.

everytime i turn around some kid is giving efren weight

these guys really play good
 
been watching a fair bit of effy's recent exploits
a lot of players have been giving him 9/10
I've seen him get thumped once or twice
the overall level over there seems quite tuff
and yea, bata vs batas!
but the og kid still holding his own
and getting the cash

the thing that impresses me the most tho
is that this guy is still jumping in the box at all
a player of efren's caliber
you figure, would have his feet up
and live off his rep
many players his age do, I guess
yet *he* continues to not just play
but take on the next several generations
touring city to city in his home country
perhaps not unlike the way he started
except now, he's no longer unknown
we know who cesar is
a pool computer with the biggest heart
still beating loudly, so that we can all feel it
and thanks to technology, we can see it too!
so check your local listings
because even in "retirement"
the magician continues to wave his magic wand...

Not the first time I've seen an unknown give Efren weight in what I call a "street" game in the PI.

My wife is Filipina - she couldn't hear exactly but though he said just like you when you are upset.
