Very unlikely 4th round matchup here between Bergman and Can....

This bracket included Morris, Hundal, Archer, Lombardo and Shaw....

Bergman has had the toughest route of tourney so far... With wins over Morris, Lombardo and Archer... Justin is known more for money games than tourney play.

Can made his name known with his deep run in last year's US open.... He has wins over Lacey, Hundal and Shaw coming into matchup vs Bergman...

Hats off to both for their strong start and may the darkest horse win....

Personally, I feel it's Mika's time for the winner's circle... He's long overdue for a big win...

Thanks for posting this. I remember watch Bergman in the Junior Nationals in Tucson years ago.

Bergman

made an even money bet he was going to top ten this tourney. he has been playing alot lately and is one of the most talented players out there and still very young. he won a tourney in Cincy a couple weeks ago. he just might be back.

wang can

I believe he is a very talented very young man from china. I first heard his name at Johnny's tourney about 6 months ago or so. I very well could be wrong though

He's a relatively young player (~20) from Shanghai.
His first name is not pronounced 'Can' as in 'A can of coke'.

The correct pronunciation is "Tsan".

Wang Can beats Bergman 10-4 then SVB 10-2 to reach final 4 of winners vs Alex....

Mika also still alive in winners... Beat nikos the greek 10-6 then Dechaine 10-4.... He's playing Appleton next for the other A-side final 4 match....

A side Final 4

Mika
Daz

Alex
Can

B sides still alive

SVB
Niels

Dechaine
Biado

Bummer most of us have missed this great tourney due to it running throughout the week...

Isn't this event tied to another...a weekend wouldn'ta been sufficient length for all the pool going on.

And you can often buy Ray's matches. Maybe these will be getting your$!?

Great write-up on Bergman. I will be watching this kid at future events. Thanks!
