I'VE HAD THIS CUE SINCE 2009
WAS ONCE FEATURED ON OLD SPLICE CUES WEBSITE
RUNSCOTT ( I THINK ) WAS OWNER OF CUE

FINALLY DECIDED TO GO AHEAD AND CONVERT IT
IT'S THE STINKINGEST PURPLEHEART I'VE EVER TOUCHED
I MEAN NASTY, HORRIBLE ODOR TO IT
HENCE, THE KNICKNAME , OL' STINKY:D




























 
Looks like "Ol Stinky" turned out to be "new foxy." Helluva Job buddy! The owner should be pleased as punch.

once i had finish on, thought i was done with that smell.
just working the shoulders of the wrap groove, it hit me again.
it is really foul
i described it as a mix of dirty sox and bad bolony and broccoli :eek:


 
Absolutely beautiful conversion. :thumbup:

Gotta love the old splices of course. But when they are so tastefully resurrected they are double beautiful.


The only thing that's missing (for me if I bought it) is a second shaft.


Absolutely smashing IMHO that it is finished at 60 inches! :thumbup: And the weight came in perfect IMHO!

A truly modern reconstruction with classic and tasteful design. It needed nothing more or less. It is perfect. IMHO.

Maybe you should have sealed the wrap groove too. :eek: :D

I mean someday when you are famous and deceased like George B, I want a couple original shafts with it.

Truth be told, Brent's already famous. Brent 'arrived' several years ago.
His work has been highly noteworthy since.
 
Super nice conversion Brent! Best part for me is you got the Hoppe ring and butt cap dimensions perfect.
