BCAPL/CSI Ban APA 9-Ball players

Yeah I got that part. I was wondering if there is a professional relationship between the two groups. tucson9ball just answered this part of my question

This thread has me thinking about the rights and responsibilities of people claiming to be "pool players" and the "jurisdictions" of people in different governing bodies of pool players.

And to be clear, I'm mostly in favor of what Mr. Griffin did, I'm just thinking about it in a larger context.

while i am not a big fan of how the bcapl is ran i have to say kudos to mr. griffin. i cannot help but admire and respect a man that displays a great deal of integrity in making this decision.

as for you dwelling on the ramifications of this issue in a larger context. here is my opinion.

the crux of this situation is you have certain players in a certain area who have displayed low moral fiber and no integrity. you also have certain lo's who have turned a blind eye to these certain people.

these p;ayers were dq'ed at the apa nationals and banned from apa for 2 years. apa hq said enough is enough and put the hammer down on the lo's in this region.

some of these same players also played bcapl and tap in this region.

mr. griffin decided he did not want these type of people playing in his organization. again kudos to him.

unfortunately tap in that region has the attitude " they aint done it to me so they can play in our league.

if tap was to follow in mr. griffins footsteps and ban them also it would send a clear message that this type of behavior is not tolerated in any league.

do the right thing

play both. :grin-square: i do and really enjoy it.

open after break and ball in hand anywhere if my opponent scratches on the break enables to to make runouts fairly regularly. then apa rules bring me back to reality that i am not as good as i think i am.

if the pro players would smarten up they would use Mark to run their tour, players should not try and run it only to make the rules and by-laws to fit themselves, not to give mass appeal to the fans. When they quit trying to run their own tournaments maybe there will be some decent pay days instead of the current ridiculous low prize monies .

+1. Without a doubt.

i would think 80% of players would drop out if there were no handicaps. That wouldnt be good for anyone.

Good Job! Stick it to the lowlife, sandbagging, cheating SOB's.. Now that I think of it wasn't one of the nits involved here telling the AZ members how it all went down? Wonder why he's not here now to explain it all from his perspective..

Very commendable thing for you to do Mark & in my opinion it's sending the right message that cheaters won't be tolerated in any league.
