I have heard nothing about an A-Z Billiard Room. So is there going to be one again? I going up for two days, and will be staying at the Rio.

AZ room

There will be an AZ Room at the BCAPL event in May. It will be in one of the skyboxes - like last year.

In addition, we have two "pro" events: The world pool masters by Matchroom - and Predator 10-Ball by Dragon promotions. In addition, we will have the "TARPIT" - The action Report's action room. There will be a lot of great matchups.

So far the sign-ups and hotel reservations are way ahead of last years. But hav eno idea how many we will end up with - probably between 7,000 and 7,500 players. Not counting the pros, spectators, or friends.

The BCAPL doesn't keep pushing ourselves on anyone or even tooting our own horn - we really just try to do our absolute best for the amatuer players. I believe the pool world respects us for that. We will always try to present a fair event.

Hope to see everyone there!

While I forgot about the AZ room last year, I definitely won't miss it this year. Perhaps having a sign in book to show how many AZers attend would be a good idea!

Can anybody check and see if I'm still barred. Last time I was there I had a complete melt down after 18 days and don't even remember going to the airport or who paid for my trip home.

Mark failed to mention the free "pool clinics" held Monday -Friday. Stop in and visit with some of the best "SPF" Instructors in the World....SPF=randyg

Where is the TarPit going to be?....Is it going to be where all the action tables were last year...(surrounded by Cue Repair and Wrap Specialist)

TARPIT at BCAPL

The TARPIT will be in Capri room 107-110. These are located across the hall from the main tournament control desk and flow charts. Usually there are pool tables for tournament play in there.

The area referred to in an earlier post is Capri 101-102. That is the general action area surrounded by 6 cue repair boothes. This area will remain as before.

The TARPIT will only have 1 table aurrounded by chairs etc. Actually there might be one of each 9' and 7' tables - depends on how the room is set up.

Hope to see everyone there.

Also, as Randy G mentioned. FREE "pool cloinics", lessons and analysis of your pool technique from the Cue-Tech Pool School guys. Room 111-112. The price is right and the information is invaluable. Check it out.

Yeah the AZ room was a great thing for me last year. A perfect place to relax and collect your thoughts between matches. Nice couches and skybox chairs to watch matches from above. I will be there again as well. Last year they had a sign in book too. See you guys there. :D

I will be there and hope to meet other AZers.

Not sure 100% on how soon I will arrive but I am playing in the team event.
