I traded for this cue , it came from Sweden . The pin was a metric thread , i thought it was 5/16 x 18 , not . I pulled the pin and the heavy SS joint collor , and put a Brass Radial and white Juma joint collor . Makeing one new shaft and converting the original shaft . I beleive its going to be a nice full splice shooter .

It's a beautiful cue, nice wood and veneers. Giving new life to it is really cool. In fact, I have to say that it looks better, more artistically balanced, with the white joint. I'll bet it's going to shoot real nice too.

I think you are doing a great thing with that old cue.

Jim,

Were you able to come close to matching the ringwork on the 2nd shaft?

I'm betting this will play alot better with the new big-pin and juma joint!!! :smile:

No on the matching ringwork . Both shafts will have solid black . But I will work on it and if I getter figured out , I can always change it out .

IMO, that cue is now morphed into a "Classic" Bi-Continental 21st Century fancy player modified by a great American Cue Maker.:yeah::yeah::yeah:

Cue came from Sweden , I was told it was a Carum cue . The shaft was not as husky as I would think for a Carum cue . The shaft did not have matching ringwork , so might not have been original shaft . It did have a brass insert that matched the threads of the butt . I was going to make a new shaft , I was told shaft had a wobble to it , but came as perfect as a 30+ yr old shaft could be . Togather and apart it rolls straight , now . Butt is a little fatter than I like , but always liked small butts .
