Efren is just a beast. I think it's safe to say that he caught his "second wind" today. If he continues to play like this, no one will stop him from taking the cheese. Well...maybe except for his Kryptonite Souquet.JAM said:Larry Nevel suffers defeat against The Magician, 8 to 4.
Efren is undefeated in this round.
I spoke to Larry immediately after the match. He said that anybody who can make a ball on the break will do well on the IPT. Against Efren, Larry never missed a ball, and Efren missed one shot. Yet, Efren made more balls on the break than Larry and wins the round.
Nevel said he only played one match on the TV table against Shawn Putnam and won the match 8 to 2. After the match, the media ran to Shawn and interviewed him, asking why he didn't win. Larry Nevel is one of the best American players today. Yet, the media seems to swarm around others, neglecting the quote/unquote "unknowns."
Larry won a qualifier to compete at the next event in Reno. So we ain't seen the last of him yet, and I can assure you that he'll be back in the driver's seat again.

Nevel had an excellent tournament...good for him! I think he established himself as a killer 8ball player...probably America's best.
Again, thanks for the updates JAM.
