Good payouts

I guess i have to agree good payouts and I also have to disagree look at this Efren ties for 5th and gets $5500 that is a tough way to make a living I bet he does not net 3k after expenses I know everyone getting 9th and worse lost money on this outing unless they were from China. Just a real shame that pro cannot make a living playing this game/sport.

sport
   [spawrt, spohrt]
–noun
1.
an athletic activity requiring skill or physical prowess and often of a competitive nature, as racing, baseball, tennis, golf, bowling, wrestling, boxing, hunting, fishing, etc.

George Carlin not withstanding I think our game is a sport very underpaid but a sport.

The USD to Phillipine exchange rate is 24-1. So Efren won about 42,000 in Phillipine dollars. Probably goes a long way in his country!

Ask Appleton or any American how there winnings did for them after they got home. I agree that 40k is nice but how many great players were there and went home way in the hole. I am in no position to step up and add 100k to 200k or more however I do spend a great deal of money each year I am getting ready to buy a car. I buy groceries and beer and pay for cable, I buy clothes and shampoo and would definitley consider sending my cash the way of any company who got behind pool.

All I am saying is I love to play and wish I could watch this on TV and the best players were getting paid to play. I will never see any of this tournament on TV and probably 85% of the players in this tournament went home with less money than they started with, I am sure they were glad they went to China but I expect they would have liked to have got something out of all the prep work and effort to get there.

Thanks to whoever put this tournament together. 40k is going in the right direction just hope the totals get larger and pay deeper.
