Do Bender cues and Southwest cues play the same?

In a word...no. But then again, I've owned several SW cues in the past & they all hit/played different. Butt wood type & shaft density has a lot to do with it.

I like the feel and play of my Bender better than my SW.

I've hit with three Benders. I loved the feel and hit of them all. The best of which was a solid ebony Bender that belonged to 8 Ball Rat. Aesthetically, I like the Southwest better - so I was hoping to hear some responses that they hit fairly identical.

While we're answering questions (or at least, you are..LOL) is there any discernable difference in the playability/hit of a "Franklin era" Southwest, and (not to sound crude) post-Jerry Franklin era Southwest cues?

I would say no.
Different tapers and different A-joint configuration.
