Benefit Tournament for Tony Sulsar 9 ball Benefit Tournament March 28th @ Luke's in S

Tony should play in the tournament if he has the strength...Besides I'm sure he'll win the tournament anyways. At least Tori did ;)...And I'll throw some more dough in if he does the Challenge Table..

Tony seem to think that people would look at it the wrong way if he plays. I have told him that no one would care and would encourage him to play, so we need to convince him to play.

Charlie I have a donation

If its' okay I would like to throw a year of free entries into the mix. 12 individual spots and then one free year pass..Of course it would only be open to mid level players but I'd like to give everyone else a better opportunity of winning!!

Let me know what ya'll think

hey Zach...
send me a pm with what you have in mind as far as the "free entries" go... We could set it up as a Silent Auction Item. I'd just need the particulars.

Also, as far as the Calcutta is concerned. I've talked with several of the guys helping me with this and although it's a great idea and a good way to raise money, we think it would take too long to auction players. PLUS all the possible issues if bought players leave early (whatever reason) don't return Sunday, don't buy 1/2 therselves, stuff like that. It has been suggested that a simple 20$ side pot for those that are interested might be more appropriate and certainly easier to manage given the time constraints..

thoughts?

Calcutta and Donations

Tournaments - 12 seperate entries to be randomly drawn. Each ticket must be used in the month they have been selected for.

April
May
June
July...until next April

And then 1 big one with the name drawn being a free year of entries excluding the big tournament with $1,000 added. If the person misses a month it still counts as one..It's just a calendar year of free entries to our monthly event at Crazy 8's.

April through April

Now about the Calcutta I understand the quickness a need to finish this event. I believe even if this event pulls in 64 players that with ten tables it can be finished in one day. With the Caliber of players and the time eveyone is arriving I think it would be very easy unless Luke's is asking for some time restraints, but that's yalls call. 2 Months ago we had 53 players at the 8-ball tournament and we started the Calcutta at 1:30PMish and finished the tournament at 1:15AM in the morning..

As far as paying everyone or people leaving early..I haven't ever had an issue with that either..Usually if someone leaves early they ask for the money to be given to the player who finished in the money...Or I've left it in the bar safe in the past..Side pots are okay but it kind of limits the participation by players and rail birds.

If everyone was there by 11:30AM you could have the tournament started by 12:30PM with 64 at the latest and be out the door before 12:30AM..(The big key is to have someone filling out the bracket while it's being done. Thanks Lewis and Paul;) - Learned from the best..Just wish I could accomplish it all the time.)

Keep in mind the Caliber of players at this event is very high for the most part..The tournament I referred to earlier was a mid-level tournament only. It's 9-ball to..Anyways this event is in good hands and we are all out to support the cause...

Thanks,

Rack'em

Looking forward to Saturday

I am not going to play in the tournament because I am driving Arthur Ball
up to Sherman and most likely have to drive him home early. As most people know Arthur has beat a very bad case of cancer. He & I want to see Tony. It is a good benfit. Looking forward to seeing all my pool player friends. If a tournament does take place in Dallas for Tony, count me in.

Awesome Zach!!

A few more things to add to the growing list of donated items... Tony's bosses' daughter-in-law's sister is owner of a WONDERFUL local salon and has donated the services of each of the employees. (That was a mouthful to say!) Great gifts for a loved one or yourself! And if ya'll missed it, some metal sculptures have also been donated.

Just Added:
Manicure (Escape Spa & Salon)
Set of Nails (Escape Spa & Salon)
3 Haircuts (Escape Spa & Salon... from each of the 3 stylists)
Eyebrow & lip wax (Escape Spa & Salon) ouch...
Metal Sculptures (Tony's brother-in-law)

Looking forward to tomorrow

Jeff & I are looking forward to tomorrow.

Quick question on the start time - we are coming from southwest Fort Worth and plan to leave about 9 AM CST. Is it a dead cut-off at 11 AM or is ok to give a call and let you know if we are a few minutes delayed?
