Some would argue barboxes ain't real pool. Even shortstops can run racks on those cannot miss bar tables. Heck, even if one gets outta line on a bar table, bankin' ain't no challenge. Real players would prefer to matchup with another real player on a real table, IMO. One can hide their true speed much betta on the big table too. A good tight 9-footer expands the game in many ways, don'tcha think?

As far as coming out and betting: coming out to where? If you beat Jeremy and Lil Steve EVEN UP, then you have my respect, because both are good. Shooters in Olathe is a real nice place to play, with real good tournaments and action. I am glad they opened it back up again.
You must be in Olathe, and no, you haven't beat most of the gamblers in Wichita, because just a few go to Olathe. Come on down, and Play Mark Rogers, he will play you, and you can bet high with him.
As far as big tables, I haven't touched one in 5 years, but grew up on them. I simply do not like using a crutch so much. As far as hiding speed, yes you can hide speed on them, because safeties are so very easy to play on a big table. I am not scared to play a big table, the last time I played, I went from $200 sets on a bar table to $400 sets on a big table, when I hadn't touched one in 2 years. How many other players have those kind of balls?

Hope I'm not going too far off topic here, but others mentioned it...I've noticed that ever since the state of Oregon got into online gambling, there's been less pool playing going on. Every bar now seems to survive off the state run video poker & slot machines. Kind of sad....Oregon pool action? Portland and Salem, for the most part.
