Ghost, you're only 53!? I'm 62, which means I'll need substantial weight when we match up at the Qlympics. You're going, right?

Doc

even game and you do not need any weight unless u want to rob him.

What about Arturo Rivera? I play him quite often and he has got to be pushing 65. He plays real good.

I think you might mean Chet Ito in Mountain View, CA ....

I saw him in his place in mountain view, Ca 18 months ago and he was playing good.

Ted Ito is in his early 80's and plays (almost exclusively) at The Jointed Cue in Sacramento ... You can find him there most every weekday morning just after 9 a.m. ... and yes, he is still playing quite well ... However, I've never known him to play anything other than 9-Ball ...

Arturo does still play well. First time I played him in the HardTimes 1st Sunday tourney, race to 5, I was up 3-0 and broke and made a ball. I had a real thin cut into the side pocket on the 1. I could've played safe, but I went for the shot and just barely grazed the point and the 1 hung up. I never got back to the table.

That was the longest six hours of my life. :D

That's all. He can be slowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.

I think Arturo is in his mid-50's. Plays real good (and slow) though.

The only other older guys that I can think of that weren't already mentioned are Don Harp (former Super Seniors BCA champ) in Riverside and Rocky Antonucci in Fresno. Still no match for Frank or John though.

No doubt Arturo plays good but he can put you to sleep with how slow he plays. Gotta put a shot clock on him for sure. :)

Watched an old Mexican player from Tijuana who now lives in the East San Gabriel Valley play run out 9Ball and 1 Pocket. He must be in his late 70's and just goes by the name of Joe. Says he knows Morro, Ernesto and King Kong from Tijuana from way back. About 5'8" with silver hair. He stopped by the Senior Center, where I was taking a computer class, to visit a friend. The friend was showing him the basics of snooker. "Joe" then had two runs of 20+ and one of 32! Quiet and unassuming. Never know what you may run across or where.

Doc, Quit begging, it's unbecoming of you...^_^

I'm not sure yet if I'm going - are you going ?. I wish they hadn't changed the date from last years September to November....now it's closer to the DCC date - and it was nice last year to make the drive and be in Louisville in warm weather for a change.

Ronnie Barber still plays a bit up here in Northern California. Maybe not the best but definately one of them for his age.

Its fun watching him torture teenage nineballers when they think they can outshoot his moving in onepocket.

what about little al romero?

My apologies to Al Romero. He is older than I am & even when I played my best he gave me weight in one pocket and I wouldn't think of playing him any 9 ball or bar pool then. I don't know how much he plays anymore, but he goes to the top if he plays anything like he did then. John Henderson

Does Ed Ames get honorable mention for being in the hunt for the title or is he too young?
JoeyA

Eds game is right there and I wouldn't play him 9 ball, but he is a little too young.

my input, i asked morro to play 1pocket (not for fun) and he said he doesnt even play, prob disqualifies him, haha.

I hope you believed him. I am sure the amount you offered to bet was not enough for him to suddenly realize he could play a bit.
