hi:
i post to ask for your oppinions on a goob jump break cue. the most i can spend (ignoring shipping) is $120, well maybe lillte more.
so what would you suggest.

I personally use a stinger and i think its the nuts, but in that price range your best off with a fury

has anyone played with a jj j/b?

I have a J&J j/b that I bought from AZB'er ChrisOnline. I really like mine. I get a nice consistent break with it, and it breaks down and jumps just as well as the Bunjee jumper I used to have. For the price, it's a j/b combination that's tough to beat! IMHO

Yes ...

thanks for your suggestions keep them coming

I have bought 2, one for me, and one for my brother. I bought
a 2nd shaft for mine (after all, aren't you more liable for a shaft
to break, ferrule, or tip come off on your break shot than your playing
cue?, and what if your playing in a big tournament, and you broke
your break stick shaft - would you still finish as good?)

I like it just fine. Put more snap back in my break with lower speed.
Better consistency of breaking, which means more run outs.
Got lots of comments about my breaking since I have had it.
The jumping is better for me too, no trouble getting over balls now, had to hone in on the accuracy, just a matter of working with it over time.
Chrisonline, whom I bought the second one from for $60 including shipping, was excellent to work with. It arrived in 2 days, very well
packed. Both of mine were the 2419's (basic 4 pointer with Palmwood).
14 mm shaft conical taper with phenolic ferrule/tip. Big bang for the buck.

Players makes a model # S-PJB3...retails for $94.99...sold a bunch of them while I was in business...no complaints...why pay more for other brands of Chinese production j/b's (like Fury, etc.) when they all come out of the same factory.......JMHO

lots of dealers will give you a discount off that retail price...check around ! ;)

I have a J&J palmwood jump Break that i got off of chrisonline. I have bought a few from him and everybody that has bought 1 from me likes them alot. just pm chris and see if he has any left.................mike

I would first say to raise your limit. If not, I think the J&J J/B might be your best bet. After that, the Fury J/B I think is the best dollar per performance unit.

The best are the XBreaker and the Stinger, IMO.

J&j J/b

I also purchased a palmwood J&J from Chris ;)

This cue had the phenolic tip missing....so I installed a pressed Triangle tip on it and it broke the balls very well :)

Happy shopping for the HoHoHolidays!

i have also bought 2 J&J j/b's from ChrisOnline. the best bang for the buck without a doubt...as far as performance id rank em as X-breaker, stinger, J&J, and then Players. iv used all 4 and would say none are bad, u get more craftsmenship in the x-breaker and the stinger, but the J&J and Players aren't bad for the money at all. cant say anything about the Fury as i have never used one. i have a friend who doesnt like them tho. i currently use a palmwood J&J and love it.

Trust me, buy a J&J the cost is minimal no more than around $75 and they will get the job very well.

47th & Halsted

In Chicago it's got to be on the corner of 47th and Halsted.

Oops, wait, I read it wrong. I thought it said, "Best Bang For The Buck B/J". My bad.

I think the Omega Jump break is right up there I have used sledgehammers and I feel that it is the same cue going from one to the other and for $100 it is hard to beat I have yet to find a cue that jumps as good without even taking it apart

Got a Plamwood J&J 14mm on EBay for under $50. Did not like the phenolic. Put on a Talisman BK tip and now love it for a break cue.. Jumping I still have to work on. In all, a great value.
