Best break cue...??

I'm looking to try out a new break cue and am interested in hearing some reviews. So, who has a good break cue and what makes it good? What type of tip is the best for you?

The best Jump break cue on the market bar none is the one that works the best for you. No one can tell you what that cue is or what tip is best, what works well for one person may not do what it needs to for another. I have been building cues for a few years now, mostly just for local customers, and one thing I have discovered is that many people are looking for an edge. Now in most cases no new thing is not going to change you game all that much, the best thing any of us can do to improve our game is to practice what we are weakest in. For some that is breaking, for others it may be patterns or shot selection, or something else. But the only thing thing that will improve what we lack is practice!!! practice!!!! practice!!!!!! and there is nothing more important to spend our money on

When keeping this in mind any break cue will do, hell even a cheap J & J jump break will work just fine, because many forget it is not the cue in the first place.

I have a BK2 atm, i like it. It has a Samsara tip.

But as said above, you need to just try some out.

I also break like a champ with my wifes Diveney Sneaky Pete, with an elk master tip :D

Try a Mezz PBII with the Deep Impact pro shaft.
Best break cue I ever had and I pretty much owned almost every single one out there.

Pat Diveney make a jump/break with a g-10 ferrule tip combo, and also make an awsome fancy jump/break with a regular tip. check him out at diveneycue.com

The short length on the PB2 was strange for me as well. But I have long arms
which works against me. I did however manage to get good breaks with this as well
but that was after some practice.

How did you feel the Sonic performed compared to the Samsara? Not a
combo I have tried :)

K

I never took the opportunity to test the standard DI shaft with the sonic tip before i put the samsara on it, and attempting to compare the standard DI shaft to the DI Pro is a joke.

Gotta say thanks again to Benfica for selling me my Pro..best purchase I've made these last few months.

I have a Rick Howard "Mace" jump/break cue with a buffalo tip on it that I love for breaking.
I also have a Greg Pierce butt with Mark Bear purpleheart shaft that I like alot too.

I like Lomax break cues alot. he is here on AZ and is a stand up guy-his jump cues are the best ever. his screenname is "stevel", he will work with you-until you have the cue in your hands that brings out the best in you, he is a nice guy too.

For me hands down the Mezz PBII is the best break cue I ever hit. I have hit a bunch and while most are pretty good (OB, Stinger, BK2 etc) something about this Mezz PBII is it for me. I'd love to try out the deep impact pro shaft with it but it's not worth spending another $200+ right now in my opinion. If you haven't tried one I'd highly recommend you do.
