We all know Efren's Z shot, or Melling's incredible rack.
What is your top shelf game or match you've seen (gambling or tourney) that you will never forget?
Could it be the fastest 147 from Ronnie or a big package on a bar box playing 8 or 9 ball?
Maybe a 3 cushion run, or that one out of Chohan's in one pocket where he needed them all.
I got one more Early 90's, I quit playing late 90's, anywho I'm in Olathe/Shooter/Dan Tulls place.
Been there Many times. Room owners and everything, not a better place in the US, only an equal.
McChesney 9 ball tour event.
During Johns traveling TD years he sold guns at the event.
My oldest daughter Brittany was about 13-14 so I invited her along for the weekend 600 mile drive.
She'd only seen me hit balls here and there and at home.
The divorce was still ''tweakin'' us after yrs so it was a good time to, travel, talk, hang out, eat good food and for her to see what I enjoy + she's never been to KS.
KS.... I've always enjoyed their person.
Anywho.....Tournament.
I got Brit involved, she wrote down all the players names/amounts for the Calcutta, perfect penmanship....
Stu.
I can't imagine what she must of heard, felt, while listening to male pool players jibber about their players chances, and many said ''we're in Matlock Country.'' (your playin for second at best)
Anywho I think it was the second round Winners side they called my match. Meacham/Matlock.
I get set up for the break and look over at Britt, she's crying, I Run to her, WT heck is goin' on???? She's in a room with all men.
Miscue....
Welllll while.... taking names, writing down amounts, hearing many of the shortstops say..... Dave's in the tournament, she figured I was a sure loser.
Well she got to see me put em in the losers bracket.
Dave came all the way back and played me again.... I knocked em out.
Played Wetch in the finals and lost.
