Best leather wrap for sweaty hands

My hands get sweaty when the heats on, I currently am using a bison wrap but when my hand is sweaty it's slippery, is there any leather wrap that absorbs moisture a bit better?

And please do not suggest to use a towel to dry my hands because I already do that lol.

I have a customer that his hands would sweat so bad it actually would pull the dye out of the leather wrap and discolor it. After a night of pool his hand would be brown or purple depending on the color of the wrap. After 3-4 Leather wraps he finally went with a Cork. HE LOVES IT!!! Cork can also be a little textured, or sanded to a very smooth finish.

Or you can soak your hands in chlorinated solvent and De-fat the skin cells.

Just Kidding. Lol. It is better to have sweaty hands than liver cancer in you future.

Beware of all chemicals and always wear rubber gloves to be safe. All exposure is cumulative and creates a body burden. Not Good.

For sweaty hands cork would be the second suggestion. Irish linen would be the first.

I played with linen for a long time but I find it too slippery, the cue slides too much with a loose grip. And cork will look ugly on my cue,

Is there any leather that is more suited for sweaty hands. I was suggested pigskin in another thread. I was also wanting to try out genuine lizard.

Maybe Elephant???

Cork and Linen are best for sweaty hands.

Linen does not have to be double pressed which makes it slick. Cork comes in many different colors.

Real lizard works well. The problem with cork is that it can get damaged real easy and it will only last about a year of hard play and you must replace.

Also from the look of your avatar you hold the cue behind the wrap? Maybe a wrapless cue.

The owner of One Side Pool hall in the Philippine told me Komodo lizard is good for sweaty palm. He had one installed on his Lambros.

I also have very sweaty hands. The problem with Irish linen is that it quickly fuzzes up and just doesn't look nice after a few hours of play. I tried sanding sealer, waxing, almost every prep that has been suggested over the years here as I've learned and listened to all of the great advice given.

In the end, a pig skin leather wrap has been what has really made me happy. It's elephant print pigskin from BilliardBum here on the forums. Good luck!

Thanks. I've been recommended to pigskin a few times now. Looks like that's what I'm gonna try next.

Billiardbum do you still have any of these wraps? Where can I purchase one? Thanks.

It really depends who does they wrap and how the press and seal it. I have had quite a few wraps done and that's exactly what happens to them, they just kinda fuzz up. I decided to have Scott at proficient billiards do some linen wraps on a few cues. I dunno what process he uses but it stays slick and smooth. I have been using it for s year now and it's perfect. My hands get quite damp and being that I live down south. .. it's exceptionally humid. So far that's the best linen wrap I have ever had.

Be Cool! Or have your cues wrapped with alligator belly

My guess would be some kind on sued? But I play with a wrap less and just have a micro fiber cloth I carry with me to take care if any moisture problems.
