I knew you were busting my chops...but I suffered a moment of panic nonetheless, lol.

I categorically hate mother of pearl in any cue, so that lovely MOP speciman is a tailored cue-nightmare for me....

We really think along the same lines regarding cue design! I've seen exceedingly few cues with MOP that I liked. There's a Tim Scruggs here that I like, but it's the first and only one with any kind of MOP or abalone that I have liked.

That Scruggs is acceptable to me, maybe because there's so little MOP in it, and it's of the whiter opaque variety and not the irredescent kind.

I still think plain old ivory will look better on that cue, but that's just me!

(btw I just sent Skip an email for an Ebony cue to keep my current Skip company...I blame it all on your burl cue, lol!)

I accept full responsibility...lol. We should probably get our new Skips about the same time then because I just mailed off the cue and payment for my new design!

I would like to thank buddha 162 for posting this pic online. After viewing it, I hit the floor and had a seizure. Roger, you will be hearing from my attorney.

Just kiddings. I think this cue would look great if hung from the ceiling of a rollerskating rink and used as a disco "stick" in place of the ever popular disco ball.

(btw, I suffer from a seizure disorder so I hope I didn't offend anyone. just making a joke.)

If someone held a hot poker to the soles of my feet and forced me to choose one, I would choose this one. Somehow it seems less obscene...

It looks like a fancy toilet window. :D

Zack- Troy, the owner of OnTheHill Q Sales is a very good friend of mine. Have you contacted him about the Scruggs, or do you just like that style? I'll see him at a tournament this weekend, I'll see what kind of deal he can give on this cue! Let me know if you're interested!

Zim,

I do like that Scruggs, however, I've got two cues on order right now, an ER and another Skip, and I can't justify the extra cost. I actually saw that cue on Tim's website first and then I found it there. I've also kind of made a decision that I am, at least at this time, not going to buy any cues that I haven't had a hand in designing.

... you couldn't pay me enough to play with it.

OK, I'll bite ... send me $1000 and I'll buy it and play with the cue. I don't much care what anyone thinks, nor do I think the cue can hurt my already mediocre game, but I could use an extra $1000 about now :)

Dave, who also thinks those cues are pretty ugly.

dots dots dots.

Im getting dizzy just looking at. Could you imagine what it looks like spinning on a lathe. Good Lord, turn it off!!!!!!Sorry to say but I have a seen worse looking cue. however in everone's best insterest i will not disclose this information.

I found another cuemaker who I think was the model for this cue...
www.championcues.com

Too cool ... I especially like the Happy Face cue ... an excerpt from their site describing my next cue :

"The Happy Face Cue has 39 Unique Hand Carved Happy Faces of pure mother of pearl deep inlays individually cut and shaped and inlayed ..."

Dave :) < there's one now !

With diamond eyes and a rubies for the tongues......

That snake skeleton cue looks alot like a very expensive custom cue made buy I believe Samsara (may be wrong on the maker, but I have seen a cue alot like it and I doubt the Ausies have been making it "by hand for 50 years"). This company would predate alot of the classic cuemakers of America. I like how every cue is exactly the same price, that is class. That site makes me sick to be in Australia, that building they show on the front page is such a load of crap, I bet they just found it on google and added it to make themselves look more legit. These are Walmart level production cues worth about $40 that are being hyped and sold to the unknowing and gullable masses. I feel sorry for people who dont know anything about cues and get taken by this gimp company. I could just imagine a family member blowing $300 on one of these pieces of rap as a gift due to their lack of knowledge. Makes me pretty sick to think about it but then again I doubt this company will be in business for too long as there are not alot of people who are going to get caught buying one of those things despite the outright lies on the site that come in waves of about 50.
