Best one pocket DVD?

So I'm wanting to improve my one pocket game beyond the rut I'm in. So what is the best dvd out there? I see Cliff Joyner has a 3 DVD set, then there is Grady Mathews, and Billy Incardona's DVD's. Should I just buy them all? Any help would be great. Thanks

Find copies of Eddie Robin's Winning One Pocket and Shots, Moves, Strategies(books, and pricey but there's nothing better for 1 pocket info,) then buy as many accu-stats 1 hole videos you can...

I imagine Grady Matthews instructional dvds have to be good, as when I hear him doing commentary on 1 hole matches i always learn something. Other matches that I have learned a lot from watching is the Ronnie Allen vs. Deliberto challenge match that was recently sold on here... and any video I can find with Bugs Rucker is usually amazing. Accu stats has a Jersey Red video too, and I recomend it...

I think Freddy the Beard says the best accu-stats tape for learning 1 hole is the Jimmy Fusco vs. Jim Rempe(someone please correct me if I'm wrong)
match from the 91 legends of one pocket, philadelphia style... haven't watched it yet myself... its next on my list.

I learned a lot from watching Bugs Rucker play. Grab any Accu-Stats you can find. Also, there was a match between JR Lyle Gay and Ronnie Allen that is a must. Everything mentioned is worth owning.

Also, if you don't already have it, Eddie Robin's book, Shots, Moves and Strategies is well worth the money.

I know there is a tape by Allen Hopkins, Champion One Pocket. Don't know how it compares to Jopling's though. Could be added to your selection as well.

this may be the fusco varner match (not rempe?) with player review by fusco and grady. even if the duder didn't get them mixed up like i think he did, this varner vs fusco is definitely one of the best accustat dvds. i would also suggest any of allen hopkins accustat one pocket tapes.... the hopkins varner 100 min rack is a good one with player review.

Hi,

A lot of learning one pocket is experience, and of course execution. Most people can think of good shots to shoot, and by watching and playing with better players, can eventually come up with alternative moves and strategy. This leaves us with the problem of execution. I would recommend getting Pro Skill Drills - Volume 6. It contains about 50 one pocket specific drills, 5 break shots, and at the end, you can listen to the dictation of what's running through a player's mind during a game. The overall dvd is about 2 hours and 20 minutes long.

I spent about 6 months devising the drills to best suit the execution needs for one pocket, which we all know are much different than any other game. We have recieved very good reviews from everyone that has purchased the dvd and I absolutely recommend it to anyone looking to hone their skills.

It consists of a book and/or a dvd which complement each other, but if you are only looking to spend a little, I would get the dvd as it contains a couple bonus features.

You can order it online at www.proskilldrills.com or at almost any online pool outlet. Thanks, and please give me your input.

I am the commentator on this one, along with Lou Butera. For a 10 minute video teaser of this match go to:

the Beard
(Fusco/Varner is a completely different match.)

Forrest, You know that Danny D lives here right? I see him giving lessons occasionally at Gold Crown. Give me a call. Jason

In addition to those stated above, I really enjoyed watching Buddy Hall play Jeremy Jones a race to 5. It's an accu-stats tape and the hill-hill game is unbelievable, which The beard joined in for commentary w/Billy Incardona & Danny DiLiberto. Excellent match.
