I was there Tuesday night.

His name is not imortant (he may not care to have it published on the net)

All I do know is that he has ran many tournaments there in the past (including past Sunday events) and he is just as nice as Tracy is to people.

Thank for the input BRKNRUN.

I think it is called On Cue now, but it used to be called La Mesa Billiards..

It is located in La Mesa California...(San Diego area)

It used to be a super nice room when I went there..
The old La Mesa Billiards is now Jolt 'n Joe's. On Cue is a different room in La Mesa but very nice, with plenty of good players.

Romaines in Milwaukee WI.
Bensingers... Chicago
Billiard Palace...OK
Congress...Miami
Hard Times...Costa Mesa
SF pool rooms on Market Street...60's - 80's
Room in San Diego that Mark Griffin now owns.
Any of the original old time rooms in MN will do..
Hard times in Costa Mesa is long gone.

Mark Griffin no longer owns any pool rooms in San Diego, though he had three of them a few years back.

Billiard Palace in San Francisco? Good choice.

One of my favorites is Hollywood Billiards in Hollywood CA. Nice tight tables, great food, good customer service. The only thing missing are the serious players.

My other favorite is California Billiards in Mountain View CA. For the serious player, there is hardly anything lacking in this room.

sticks

THE ONE THAT I SLEEP WITH THE OWNER!!!!STICKS BILLIARDS. NO I NOT FUNNY, THE OWNER IS MY WIFE THE MOST WONDERFUL LADY IN THE WORLD!!!!!!:p :p :p :p :p

Diamonds

Diamond Billiards in Cape Coral Florida they have a bunch of Diamond tables. Up here in Maine we don't get around much and are Diamond deprived. Pool god help us!

California Billiards Club on El Camino Real in Mountain View CA. Nothing but gold crowns some triple shimmed, 3 12' snooker tables (1 set up for golf) and a billiard table. The food is great and they have Fat Tire on tap. Ben is a great guy, and shoots em pretty sporty.

First State Billiards in Dover De. 20 or so 9' including 4 Gabreils and a bunch of Gold Crowns, 6 barboxes and a 10' snooker table. The food is great and the table time is very reasonable $4.50/hr, but they don't have any sort of liquor license. I just bring a flask with me if I'm inclinded to have a drink when I shoot. ;)

Hammerheads Billiard Lounge in Holiday Florida is very nice, huge room laid out for tournaments/spectators with Diamond tables, full liquor and decent food. Dan Lavoie is a great guy and his wife is a very nice lady, together they run a tight ship and a super nice pool hall.

Ditto to all of the above!

I like PLUSH POCKET in Northridge CA. Real old school feel, but nice and clean, friendly, and great service.

I get to travel a fair bit with my job (I'm in the guard) and try to get into a local pool rom wherever I travel. So far my 2 favorites are both in California. Hard Times in Sacramento was great.. nice tight tables, good booze and a nice atmosphere to play pool in. But far and away the most fun I've had in a pool hall was a small one in Ventura called Stixx. People make a great pool hall and I've never felt so welcome. The manager was extremely friendly, the tables were great and the players were welcoming to a stranger from out of town who just had a few nights out to play for some fun. Looking forward to getting in there again ( I have to wait for more califonia forest fires to get there).

Shooters, Hunstville AL.

Good call on Stiix in Ventura. The owner, Jerry Matchin, is a great guy and he runs a tight ship. The players in there are truly fun-lovin folks.

Didn't read all the posts, but Diamonds in Cape Coral, FL is real nice and rated in the top 10 of new rooms this year... Waitresses for all the tables in ref unis and skirts sports bar with all the games and tons of TVs... Seperate eating area.... real nice
