I won't post price on the forum...but its cheap as possible. Best tip in the world IMHO! Be sure to cover installation with him...do NOT try trimming the sides with your tool post cutter on the lathe.

Since we must protect our dealers & distributors, we can't flex on pricing, where they can.
I recommend contacting one of our US Distributors for the best deal.

I'm asking because I've never experienced either. Cutting at high speeds and not being careful could cause such a problems, but that is not exclusive to Sniper tips.Sheldon said:Tip delamination and ferrule damage come to my mind.![]()

High Speed Steel seems to take a sharper edge than carbide and cuts cleanly.
The shape of the cutting edge is importaint also.
I have had very little problems triming laminated tips on the lathe but I finish up by sanding the sides to final shape.
I shape the dome with a razor blade.
Thanks for the info about Tony at Tiger Products ... I will send him an email.
Sniper tips seem to be gaining in popularity around here and it looks like it is time for me to stock some of them.
I just use titanium coated blade from Home Depot, Sheldon Lebow style. But with Loctite 454 as I've had nothing but problems with Loctite Super Glue Gel.WilleeCue said:I think the sharpness of the tool is the key to cutting laminated tips cleanly on a lathe.
