I had the same thought. I only marked the rack spot with a small dot from a sharpie. Mistake. That area wore thin and through. I then put one of those spots on it but the hole was still there and made a depression reflects thru the spot.
Do yourself a favor and put a spot for the break.

Magic Rack all the way. Especially for the bartable. Perfect rack on the spot! BCA now has one (made by magic rack). It is "legal" in BCA league play. They used it at the finals in vegas last year, and will be allowing it this year. PM me for purchasing info...

The Magic Rack is not a sticker, and has nothing to do with sticking anything on the cloth. It is just a loose template, slick on both sides, that you place on the cloth. It works VERY well. I think it might even help reduce ball marks in the rack area. It certainly eliminates the wear on the cloth from rubbing a standard rack on that area. In all ways it would be ideal for addressing the concerns you appear to have. You should look further into it...you might really like it if you understood how it works.

I would definitely agree that the Magic Rack is by far the best ball racking device out there right now. I would also agree that its value is greatest on a bar table, or any table that is worn and difficult to rack on.
However, for general purpose triangles, I would definitely give my vote to the Delta 13. I think it is by far the nicest standard triangle rack. I own the Elite, and it fits the balls perfectly. If it doesn't, its the balls that are bad!
I would highly recommend either of these two products. Given that you can get the 9 and 10 ball Magic Rack together for like $8, I would get both. Use the Delta 13 for full rack and the Magic Rack for 9 ball and 10 ball.

I 100% agree with this KMRUNOUT !
I frankly do not know why ANY 9 or 10 ball tourney wouldn't use the M.B.R..... no arguments, therefore saves a LOT of time and fuss. If a ball lands on the rack after the break, in order to remove the rack from the table (which all users do after the break), then have a referee or someone (not in the match) do the removal of it. The Delta-13 rack is THE BEST triangle rack made and should be used for all other pool games.
