Whats the best billiard tip for a highly skilled person, that uses alot of english? I have a Black kamui SS on there now and I love it but it needs replaced and wanted to see if there is any better tips out there???

I just put this same tip on my 11.2 mm shaft and love it.
I am still debating on whether or not to put it on my other cues. On my two 12.75 OB1 shafts I have a hard Talisman and a hard Moori, which I and my friends have tried both and like a little better.
I have always loved Moori medium and softs. And to note, I had a Kamui medium tip on my 11.2 mm shaft and I miscued so much I just had to tear the SOB off.
I'm with you on this one.I also play with a smaller diameter tip and everytime I had to dig a shot to get myself out of trouble I miscued.I scuffed it and my stroke is straight but when the Kamui Medium hardens up, its like a rock.Thats what I notice about Kamui,each one of there tips feel a level harder than what they are.
He's right. This has been discussed many times and the hit and feel of a cue with different tips is very subjective. For me, I use a McDermott I-3 (11.75mm tip diameter) on a Schon CX-06, a Moori Soft is excellent. I've tried quite a few others, including Kamui, and I feel I play best with a Moori. Holds chalk well, it doesn't mushroom (you'd expect a soft tip to mushroom), doesn't glaze over, doesn't harden over time, and requires very little maintenance. When it gets down to dime width, I just send it to McDermott. Under their maintenance plan, they clean the shaft, seal it, and put a new Moori Soft tip on it at no cost. The only cost is shipping and handling - $21.00. Good luck in your quest for the Holy Grail of tips, but only you can tell which one is the best for you.

Most of the better players in my area use the Le Pro, or Triangle.
If you do a little research I think that you will find most cue makers also use those "cheap" tips and not because of the cost.
I asked one of the local cue repair what tips he install the most and he said Le Pro, and Triangle.
The layered tips he mostly install is Tiger Everest but was impressed with the Tiger Emerald for the money.
Look at Mueller website and they will have a description of all the tips and their hardness. That would probably help.

Kamui brown med for me all day long. I also like WB water buffalo's.

The best tip is the one that gives you a good feedback, grip and fits your stroke. Price and popularity wont make any difference.
I tried out three Kamui Black SS. 2 was totally dead feeling. 3rd was just awesome until for some reason a layer in the tip started to fall apart. Small pieces started to fall out. So I'm not going there again.
