Betting Odds on IPT North American

Glad I got my money on Van Den Berg at 200/1 - he's 100/1 now I see! Odds seem to be changing quickly - maybe there is a fair amount of betting going on.

As pointed out above, this might be a chance to catch the bookie out before they get a grip on what's going on!.

It certainly seems like Stan James is catching a grip on what's going on, look what happened to the odds with Shane Van Boeing and Nick VD Berg. Is Nevel still listed at 400-1?

How about Larry Nevel at 400 to 1? This guy could catch fire and win the whole thing.

Man larry nevel is going to win:) :) . He my best freind. I think he realy going to win we been playing ever day together. He has been running out 4 to 8 racks every time he at the table and his break is realy strong out of the box right now.The ipt also has the 3 foul rule which is brutal in 8 ball.Larry just got home last night and called me on my phone and he just won the qulifer for the world 8 ball. I think larry nevel will win some big tounaments here soon. He feeling good and life is all good with his woman.Every one no's ya play your best when ya feel good and no other worries...Man I can't wait to see my bud upset some of those good players.. Larry nevel - The #1 most under rated pro play.....IMO

I took James Walden at 400/1, and I like it. I wish they would give that up every time, but they won't. They just don't have him guaged yet. I hope he picks this event to correct them. lol.

stan james

So whats the minimum deposit you can make to Stan James site? (cant find it in USD). I noticed the minimum withdrawl is 100.00.

I am thinking of taking a couple flyers just for some 200/1 action....would I be right in thinking, 20.00 bet on a 200/1 would pay 4000.00?

I deposited $50 USD. You might note that they will NOT let you bet any amount you want. There are limits. I took 5 players, none of which they would let me lay more than $10 each. Still, you can get $2000 for a $10 bet on 200 to 1 which is okay.

I think the minimum deposit is about 5 pounds. I deposited $10 Canadian.

I want someone to tell me that they have experience with this book. I would like to open an account, but they are in the UK and everything is online only?

Can anyone REALLY vouch for their integrity, speaking from experience? Anyone actually been paid?

I see several players on this list of odds that are WAY out of line.

Petree - Friendly wager
I will tell you I like this part of the list...Watch out for George...George does not compete much, and is listed with Gabe Owen...WOW - I love it.
Sansouci, George 66/1
Owen, Gabe 66/1
Breedlove, George 66/1

Breedlove that is...Sansouci does not play bad either ;)

I believe it stands for Each Way. Half of the amount you bet would be for the player to win the tournament at the full odds stated and the other half would be on the same player to finish in the top four at one quarter of the odds.

So I think if you bet $2 on a player at 20/1 odds and he/she won you would get $20 for the win and $5 for finishing in the top 4.

I'm no expert so I hope someone corrects me if I'm wrong since I made some E/W bets and I would hate to think I won and then be disappointed when I went back to Stan James and found out I lost, lol.

I know my odds are probably 1,000,000 to 1, but I'd really like to bet on it......

That's weird, Tammy. I don't see your name in the listings. I for sure know your odds are lower than mine...maybe 350 to 1? I know Karen, Allison, and Kelly are rated a lot lower (higher odds) than they should be. And you are an 8-ball specialist, so I would imagine you will do well. Except for Alex, I look for you to get out of your bracket! Give 'em hell! ;)

Where Do I Find The Final Odds On Ipt ?

There are no "final odds".

You are "on" at the odds given at the time you place your bet.

Furthermore,if usual procedures are followed by these bookmakers, the IPT book might re-open for "in running" bets at each stage throughout the tournament.Obviously the available odds would dramatically change from where they stand now as it progresses.

To draw a parallel with golf Tiger Woods was available at 5/1 to win The British Open before he teed off yesterday and at 13/2 after 8 holes when he was one over par.......but he finished five under par and 5/1 seems like a lifetime ago and you'll be lucky to get 3/1 now:rolleyes:

I'm no expert, either, but I can explain what an Each Way Bet is.

An Each Way Bet means that you pay double the amount so that if your player finishes (in the case of the IPT event) in the top 4, then you still get some money paid to you.

Let's use the example that Keith explained earlier. If you want to bet $2 each way at 20/1 odds, then you would actually pay $4. If your player comes in 2nd, 3rd or 4th, then you get your "Each Way" winnings which are a quarter of the odds, plus your stake, back - $22 total.

If, however, your player wins the event then you get the $42 you would be due for the win ($2 at 20/1 + your original stake back) PLUS the "Each Way" winnings I explained earlier - total of $64!

Hope that helps.

As for me, I'm going to put £5 each way on Pat Holtz (at 175/1 - he was 300/1! D'OH!) and another £5 each way on someone that I've still to decide. Good luck, all!

I seriously doubt they'd include all but one person. So i figure they made a mistake on your name, and maybe this is you.

Jones, Sammy 400/1

Am i wrong? is there a Sammy Jones?!
