The current trend in the computer security world is to go longer, not more complex. As one person at NIST bemoaned, we have spent the last 30 years teaching people to create passwords that are easy for computers and difficult for people to remember. Schemes that work well are random and randomly capitalized, misspelled words separated by numbers, nonsense sentences with numbers or characters along with spaces, long sentences that aren't quotes or easily attributable to a source, or mixed language sentences for the multilingual in our midst. To emphasize that point, adding two additional characters for upper and lower case letters gives you more security than the slightly shorter all character password, and will often be significantly easier to remember.People might want to take a look at row "8" and the furthest column to the right:

You probably want to shoot for at least row "11", furthest column to the right.
Hey, thanks for posting that. I just changed my password and turned on MFA.

Once you hit the several day mark, bad guys would rather use the power bitcoin mining than password hacking, but remember that today's uncrackable password will be easier tomorrow. The 8 character, all symbol, 39 minute entry was chosen by NIST decades ago because it would have taken computers then millions of years to crack.

if i don't call PayPal, but wait for them to review the case. will i get the refund back?
Funny you mentioned accident. I mailed a cue to a guy and on the way home a guy ran a red light and hit me. Nearly killed me.Scammers aside, has anyone tried to recoup a payment sent via friends / family thru PayPal? To a complete stranger. For one, it’s low rent to charge people more than an item is listed at and two, what happens when you pay for something and worst case scenario a tragedy happens and your item doesn’t get shipped. Seller is in an accident etc. How do you explain to PayPal you actually have no idea who the people are but that 4% they nitted you on is now a complete headache. If priced accordingly, there’s no need to tack on extra fees such as PayPal and shipping. That’s what negotiating is for.
Maybe I’m old school but anytime I sell anything, I’ll never ask the buyer to pay extra…nor would I ever pay any extra fees when buying something.
Just a thought for any new folks![]()
If you got ripped off by someone for a cue that was never sent and especially if it started here, you need to post who that person was.anybody can tell me how to get back refund from PayPal?
