I got my first of two cues (butts only) that I ordered from Brent today. I don't have any photos available so if Brent would like to post some that would be great.

Dealing with Brent has been a pleasure. He has kept me informed at all times. That is not to say that there have been no issues, however he has made every effort to keep me posted and make things right. I couldnt ask for more.

The butt that i got today has a BEM butt sleeve and forearm with a cocobola handle, brass rings and black joint and butt cap. The finish is like glass. Smooth as can be. I had him make it to match a 314 I use, but he didn't have the shaft so he had to go off of measurements I sent him. The fit is not perfect but easily good enough for me.

I am new to the custome cue thing, however I know a nice hitting cue when I feel one, and this one is NICE. I'm not sure how to describe the way a cue hits, so I will say this. Get in touch with Brent and order a cue!! The combination of workmanship, communication, and price make BHQ an excellent choice. Period.

I like the work. How much round about would that style of cue run me with 2 shafts? How long from time of order till delivery approx? Again nice work.

Why didn't you send him the shaft for the final fitting? A cue maker needs the shaft to fit it properly and make to make sure everything lines up straight too.

I knew I was risking not having it be perfect, however I didn't want to be without the shaft for an extended period. Also I plan on getting a new shaft sometime in the not to distant future. I will have the shaft tweaked to fit the butt instead. I know I caused Brent some stress this way, but its all good.

The fit is very close. It is straight and screws tight and flat. There is just a tiny edge from shaft to butt when you run your finger up and down the joint. Very minor. Good job.

hi chris. darren & i discussed just that. i told him i couldn't promise everything would be concentric. he figured the worst that could happen is he would end up having to send me his predator & the butt back in time to fit up to the second cue that's ongoing now.

I'll chime in. Although I didn't buy one of his cues he was e-mailing me practically everyday showing me pics and pics of wood and what not. His communication skills are unbeatable and this tells me his costumer service would be too. He brought down a jump/break for me to look at but before looking at it I new the weight was a little more than I wanted. Like 22oz. Plus I like a different taper than what was on the shaft but thats just personael preferance. His work however is very good. He is brutaly honest with himself and the customer which is an A+++ to me.

Well I got the second of two butts from Brent (BHQ). The second is absolutely stunning. Crazy BEM forearm. Both play very well, hit solid, and look great.

Very nice job Brent, and thank you for communicating well all through the process. Keep up the good work.

Yup I got taxed again. Sometimes they do and sometimes the don't, so I guess I'l be glad for the times they don't.
