Grow a sense of humor. Didn't think everything needed a disclaimer to ward off the easily butthurt. Guess i was wrong.
Since when does anyone need permission to post a pic anywhere? Everyone with a phone is the press these days. It is pool related so why is it 'an asshole thing to post'?? Don't get the logic or reasoning here at all. The guy claimed to be the son of a famous player and thus the photo was 'shopped' for other's takes/opinions . Where's the problem??

This is pool related? Really? Seriously? This is purely insensitive gossip at best.
The difference is this guy obviously doesn't qualify as a public figure and deserves some privacy. And this isn't facebook. No permission required to have zero human decency around here, I see. Really shouldn't have to explain this.

I don't find either perspective more or less right and perhaps it is a good idea to remove the pic in the longer run

There was a member here years ago who, for years, claimed to be the nephew of Cisero Murphy...Turns out that there was a quite a different backstory to his claim which was raised by another very credible Az member who knew Cisero quite well. I don't know the final outcome of the situation except for the fact the the member claiming to be Cisero's nephew hasn't posted for years from the time he was questioned about it. Someone falsely claiming any such relationship to a well known figure deserves to be outed, and anyone honestly making such a claim would not mind the exposure...or he wouldn't mention it.
Also, people in public haven't any right to an expectancy of privacy and can be filmed with or without their consent. They may not like it, but they have no right to "privacy" when in public...Photos of people are posted here daily without prior consent.
