Definitely hit the nail on the head there. As in life.

We're going to try to come out to LV for this one....I think it'd be fun.

Stroud cue shows

These cue shows are awsome. I have been fortunate enough to have been invited and have been to a couple of them. I am hoping to make the Vegas show. It really a neat thing to be able to talk to these cue making legends in person as well as seeing the collections of people like Martino, Prout, etc. The one in Ruidoso, NM. I played golf in the same foursome as Richard Black with Bill Schick and Dishaw in the groups next to us. Alot of fun. Hope see some of you in Las Vegas.

Curious about one thing..... do you like the purpleheart to be exposed to light so that it becomes "bright" purple, or kept darker? Or, both? Thanks!!

I enjoy very bright PH, but the dark stuff will do as well, I think it all started back when all the cues I saw were Ebony and Ivory with very few Cocobolo, Rosewood, and PH cues. Now the wood choices have shot threw the roof, it's crazy how many new woods are being used. I just liked something different, but over the years I have fallen in love with the way the stuff plays, and because of that I'm not a big fan of cored cues, unless of course...

Hi Jim,
I'm sure we met each other in Ruidoso... Bill Schick and myself had a 4 some which included Mr&Mrs. WU..
I've been invited to every (ICCS) since it's inception.
It is really worth scheduling a trip to experience. Some of the greatest cues in the world..
Not sure about displaying there yet..
Best,
Ken

Can someone tell me more of this cuemaker. I haven't heard of him and was wondering if others knew of his work.

Thanks,
Koop

He is a German cue maker, mostly cnc very high quality work solid cues, I have seen an example of his more intricate work with ivory turquoise, and silver. A very beautiful cue owned by a player in Trier Germany, seen it while stationed there, In the Air Force. IMHO his cues play very solid and very sought after. Check them out.http://www.arthurqueue.de
