Gentlemen,
The Third Edition starts shipping today at the rate of 60 books a day plus or minus a few. Things are very hectic right now and we will try and ship them on a first come first serve basis. It will still take some time until we catch up on 600 preorders. Most pre-orders were sold at $150.00, some with free shipping. If that's the deal we made, great. So many of you waited patiently and I'm glad you saved a couple of bucks in the process. Because we added so many images and changed things so many times, the book is larger now and the price is $159.95 with $12.95 for shipping It is available on my site www.billiardencyclopedia.com or on Blatt's site
www.blattbilliards.com for those you want to pay by credit card. There may be a few dollars difference because of the location and some books need repacking to insure safe delivery. Only books ordered on my site can be signed at the moment until we catch up.
At this time I would like to apologize for the long delay and thank all those that hung in there with me, believed in the project, and prepaid. This was not an easy project and we redid the book several times. In fact we did the whole book over 8 months ago as I wasn't happy with it. I may never do another, so I wanted this one to be over the top. I don't mind saying I don't think you'll be disappointed when you receive it.
Please be patient a little longer as we are trying to ship as many books as possible every day. The reason I put it on eBay was to let people know the book was really here so there would be no misunderstanding after all the stop and go?s. I may use PayPal in the future but you can go to Blatt and charge the book there if you like.
We now start work on The Collector?s Edition and will inform you when they are ready.
Of the 300 that will be made only 75 are still available. The price for collector edition is now $850.00.We will honor all those that were pre-ordered at the old price.
Thanks again for your patience, and thanks again to all of you who were a part of the project. I couldn?t have done it without you. It was a true labor of love for me and I hope you all enjoy it.
Best Regards to all.

P.S. For now overseas buyers need to contact me direct as I may have a distributor in your area. Shipping overseas is very expensive but we will get a book to everyone who wants one.

Nice speaking with you Vic. I'll be looking forward to the new collectors edition. :thumbup2:

Scratching my head. Didn't this come out a while ago? I'm sure a buddy showed me his copy months ago, as I already have 1 & 2.

That was the Blue Book. This is the big encyclopedia...

Don't know much on the encyclopedias, but are they also a pricing guide for cues or just history and galleries?
Thanks!

Victor,

As you know, I received my copy of the book at the ICCS last weekend. I want to tell everyone on AZ that this book is simply unbelievable, my prized book of my entire book collection. It is radically changed and expanded from earlier editions, so even if you have an earlier version you will want this one.

I purchased both books, the 3rd Edition and the Collector Edition and give them my highest recommendation. This book is the benchmark of the industry.

I don't think they have any pricing guides, but I have one of the earlier editions, so maybe things changed.

I have one of the earlier editions that I got at the trade show when it was in Minneapolis. I have the autographs of Jimmy Caras, Jimmy Moore, Eddie Taylor, along with about 20 others. I think I have opened the book about 5 times. If I knew how to read, I still would probably be hesitant to bend the pages, etc :p . The edition that I have is unbelievable, so I can only imagine what the new edition is like.

Problem a better bet than the stock market.

Let see 1st edition original $80, now well over $280, 2nd edition $125, now also around $285. 3rd edition [ a very good chance the last] $150, now already $159 and climbing. Yes I would say a very good investment.

Billiard Encyclopedia 3rd edition

Does anyone know the difference between the basic edition and the collectors edition?

Will, as you know, you're one of my favorite people, and I want to thank you again publically for your suppost and friendship. Viewing your collection was a real thrill, and I'm so glad you could share a part of it with everyone. As you know this edition was dedicated to THE COLLECTOR'S, who along with the cue makers move this great hobby and craft forward.
Thank you again my friend, best regards,
Vic

Billiard Encyclopedia Arrives

Ladies & Gentlemen,

200 more books were shipped out today, so many of you will be receiving your copies shortly. If for some reason you still havn't gotten your book by the end of next week, please contact me as all books will have shipped by then.

The Collector's Edition will go into production in two weeks and the first 100 should be shipped within three months. This is a hand bound copy, made one at a time and quarted bound in Nigerian goat skin...the highest grade of leather in the world. The leather is then 22 carat gold stamped and the book is then covered in Simonis 300 cloth. It comes in a clam-shell wooden box with Italian covered fabric, which also has leather labels affixed to it. Each edition is numbered and signed and there will only be 300 of these available. At the moment there are about 65 left.

Once again my thanks go out to all of you who have purchased a copy and waited patiently for it.

Thanks again for the kind words, I hope you all enjoy it.

I was asked by Barry to attend but felt it was more important to get the books shipped as fast as possible. Now that they are here we can really start to market the book worldwide.

I hope you are enjoying your copy.

All the best,

Professor Cue
