Hi,

Does anyone have a recommendation for a nicely-fitting glove? My hand measurements are as follows:

4.5" from top to bottom of palm
3.75" from left to right edge of palm

Ring size is a 7

Looking for a fuller glove than not, no fingerslides or any of that nonsense.

Any thoughts would be appreciated!

I don't use it very often but have when humidity is a problem and the Sir Joseph seems to be a well made fuller glove.

Sorry but can not help with measurements at the moment as my case is not where I am.

I'm a fan of the Sure Shot gloves, they fit well and they make gloves for us southpaws as well.

I have used the Sure Shot and Sir Joseph, but I like the Predator Glove the best. It is a thicker glove which for me makes it last longer.

I also use the Predator glove. Tried several but it was better than the rest IMHO.

My second favorite (close) is the finger slides.

+1

That Predator glove looks awful, but it fits better than any glove I've ever tried, and I have similar hand measurements to the OP.

I like the "sticky" pads on the palms t keep the bridge hand from sliding.

A "large" Sir Joseph glove would fit your hand nicely. Since the glove will eventually tear or rip, you might want to buy them in quantity at Internet retailers like Meullers.com .

Keep in mind though, that if you buy over the Internet, the shipping charges can easily outweigh any savings on discounted merchandise. The way around the shipping charges is to subscribe to the retailer web site so you can find out about their Free Shipping promotions (if you spend at least $25).

I actually like the Sir Joseph gloves out of all of the ones I have tried. Unfortunately it recently tore on one of the fingers which annoys me. This seems to be a never ending issue with all of these gloves. I might try a Predator one next.

You say no finger slides or any of that nonsense. Why? I used a glove for quite some time with the same attitude. For whatever reason, I decided to give the finger slides a try. Forget going back to a glove now. I have used the one set of finger slides longer than I would have used two gloves. They still fit perfectly tight, not stretched out. No sign of wear whatsoever. The finger slides are a huge step up from a glove IMHO after having used both.

A friend of mine has been using one of these for some time now. He said that although his shot making percentage has dropped, his ability to pick-up chicks has increased tenfold.

agreed..I'm not a predator fan boy but the sir joseph gloves went to shit the last few years. Hell the threads were already coming out of them new out of the bag. The predator gloves last longer and seem to fit really well.

Predator glove isn't the best glove, but it's better than others. I dont' like the logo on the middle finger. My next glove will be a custom, if I found the lycra.

I tried Sir Joseph years ago and it was ok, but when things get sticky in high humidity situations I keep a Sure Shot glove in my case. I haven't tried or seen a Predator glove in person, but I like my Sure Shot glove so much there's no need to try anything else. I don't like playing with a glove, but when I need one they come in handy.

I've never been a glove guy, and honestly disdain their use most of the time.

However, I have a new cue coming and want to keep the shafts clean for longer stretches. Bare hands with tons of use get shafts pretty filthy.

Instead of a glove you can look into shaft freeze by Mike Gulyassy.

Predator

I couldn't keep a glove in one-piece for more than a month before I tried one of the Predator gloves. The seams are placed in such a way as to not catch all of the wear from the cue, and they are just well made all the way around. I don't shoot a lot, but this Predator glove has already outlasted anything else I have tried tenfold. Just my 2cents!

If parts of a glove are too loose or you want a tighter fit, turn the glove inside out and stitch up the loose area. If you have no needle skills, find someone who knows to make the adjustments.

Far and away the best fitting glove is the Blakeman glove. I believe Carl had the original patent. I have tried the others after Carl moved his operation from Long Beach to Henderson, Nv. HIs wife Betty is currently running the company.
