Billiard Hall Laws in Muslim Countries During Ramadan

The Muslim Religion is Intolerant of other Religions. Its their way or the highway & sometimes death. How do I know? We had an Iraq worker migrate here for a job in the USA. I asked him why he came here. He stated if you are a Christian you are denied College & are excluded from good paying jobs & also your children are denied a College education & good jobs. Its a real nice Religion IMO:grin-square:

Those restrictions are a lot less strict than the "blue laws" that were in effect in Maryland in the early 60's.

What on Earth is a blue law? Please explain. Thanks!

They were basically morality laws that kept you from doing anything on Sunday. Even grocery stores were closed. Drug stores could open on Sunday, but could not sell any general merchandise, only medicine. Occasionally, like with a rain delay, the Baltimore Orioles would have a game ended at the stroke of midnight because they couldn't play on Sunday morning.Of course, liquor and beer sales were prohibited, no horseracing, no pool, no fun.

It's not even close to living under 'sharia'.
For a pool player, there was still lots of action under 'blue' laws.
You could lose all your money if you knew what was going on.

Under 'sharia' you can lose your life.

Are there tolerant religions? So many lives have been lost and destroyed in the name of religion...just can't get behind any of them. IMO

Comparing blue law to the laws during Ramadan is like comparing apples to oranges. they are intolerant of anything that goes against their beliefs. At least most blue laws have been lifted and besides maybe you would get a fine not beheaded.

The penalty may be different, but the concept is the same.
