Hello Everyone,

I need Help with a Billiard light, for an Oversized 8' Table. What Size Light do I need? 60", 72"
I was thinking of making a Billiard Light out of 3 Lights Spaced Equally and centered on table.
I was thinking about using 3 of either of these 2 lights.

My Cushions were just completed By Frank, at All Billiards in Colorado Springs. I have to pick them up tomorrow. Then I will be sanding them and Lacquering them. Frank has helped me out a lot over the last few weeks. He enjoys what he does a great deal.
Hopefully he will be out to the house to level and setup the table this month. Once it is Complete I will be adding pics.
Thanks Again

Lowes

Item # 16075
Model 5402LP-REB1
They used to make these in different finishes.I put small eye-screws in the light & hung it instead of flush mounting it.Lowes also sells chrome (plastic)diffuser material.Like Diamond lights that you can make fit.It makes a nice light. It even matches a GC sorta

I've seen lights like the first one you posted over a table before. The ones I saw ended up being very directional. They left small rings of light on the tables instead of spreading to the entire playing surface. Diffusers may help some on lights that can be fit with them.

I've seen a lot of people talk about how much cheaper you can get lights at Lowe's, Home Depot, etc, and a lot of them obviously are not designed for a pool table. You might check out some designs made to spread light over the playing surface of a table. There are some contemporary designs out there. RAM has a couple nice ones if I remember right. You'll pay a little more, but the light will be right for your table.

Flourescents works well. If you're handy you could build an enclosure to hold them.

What Dartman said.

Look at the Diamond or Brunswick lights. They're fluorescent. Building a box is pretty easy and you can buy the units already assembled with ballasts etc. Just screw them in to the box, wire it up and your golden. I'm not handy at all and I did it. Go with the T8, not the T12.

You can either rely on your instincts (your perception of the seller's reputation and character), or their itrader rating. You can always use an escrow service. Usually they are used for cues but there is probably no reason why you couldn't used it for any purchase. Of course , someone has to pay for shipping twice. I haven't used paypal all that much but I beleive there may be some protection services offered through them.
