Anyone know of any billiard museums or exhibits? Not talking about private collections, not talking virtual. Thank ya'll for your replies.

This video will show and tell you about the best shot at a museum collection

Many years ago Prather cue were setting up a pool museum in Mooreland , Ok As I understood it the guy helping with the project stole cues and memorabilia and split. I moved from Ok and have know clue if their museum ever opened.

I had dinner with Denny about a month ago. Was a wonderful time. We were talking about merging his collection with mine-the amount of history contained in everything is amazing. His is 4X-5X bigger than mine.

It’s a very expensive proposition to build a permanent display of all the cues, balls, and other stuff in the collections.

Unlikely anything permanent and public will ever happen.

So what will eventually happen with these private collections? Passed down? Parted out? Does pool even have a "legitimate" Hall of Fame with a physical facility, etc.? Over and over again, it occurs to me that too many corporations, and players, have failed to properly honor our sport and secure its place in history. I do not want to accept that this sport I love so much will always be relegated to the lower tiers, but this is the constant message I get from the current state of affairs. If we can't keep pool halls open, how would a museum fare? I do not like saying this, but I feel it needs to be said . . . I guess I should just be realistic, but love and objectivity seldom mix well.

It is important to remember what is important to you is not necessarily important to anyone else. The definition of 'anyone else' is distorted when dealing with concentrated groups of similarly appreciative persons...as in speaking about pool on a pool forum.

Of course we think pool should have a formal historical display. Nobody else cares in a manner that would make such an undertaking viable.

Which poolrooms display the most memorabilia and history?
You would have a hard time finding a room with more history on the walls than Antique Billiard Museum in Colorado springs. Its been years since I was there but Raytown rec had vintage pics and what not on the walls also.

I have a moderately sized collection of vintage cues, mostly Brunswicks. Not many of my cues are worth much or hard to find but the collection continues to grow. It is getting time that I take a picture of them and post it here.

I will divide them up and give them to my kids someday. All my children either have tables or will have soon so the cues will continue to be enjoyed by the family.
