Quick Question- What are Pool Books? Are they books that have shots, drills, etc for beginners to practice on? What would be a good one for someone whose got about 5 months under his belt and where can I get it? In the FS here on AZ?
Thanks!

Pleasures of Small Motions
99 Critical shots (full title?)
I'm dying to get a copy (or just read the copy a kid I know in the pool hall has) of Winning 1P or w/e it's called.
I'm in the middle of reading "Play your best 9-ball" too, at a pace of about 1 chapter every 6 months. I'll give you guys a review in a few years.

I think the best advice is to go to a large bookstore nearby (e.g., Barnes&Noble) and look through the pool books on the shelves, and judge for yourself.bencho said:Hey,

Blackjack said:My book Lessons In 9 Ball is available in the link in my signature. It has several drills, and was written so that players of all levels would get something out of it.
It s available in e-book, hard cover, and spiral notebook - I recommend the spiral notebook version so that you can take it to the pool hall with you and lay it flat on the table. It has many drills, covers the mental game, safeties, training, the break, reading the rack, etc.
