Yes, I've received my August issue. I don't remember how long ago.
Got mine at least 4 weeks ago.

unless bob is still writing for it. or perhaps dave. i cant see anything worthwhile that could be in print that could justified buying.

There are some other instructional authors that know a thing or two, like Appleton and Varner and Lee. Mike Shamos has his historical articles that always have some great pictures. And for George Fels fans, you get a re-run of his best each month. There are also tournament feature articles and player profiles.
Being old fashioned, I like paper, and BD is the last printed billiard mag still standing. It is the de facto record of the game at this point.
60 or 70 years?
I've only been writing for them since 1992. I think 2028 will be the magazine's 50th anniversary.Maybe you’ve seen it all, but I haven’t. Just $32 a year, and no, it’s not just pictures. Plenty of good information for people like me. Great story on Mika before he died.
The archives are good too. Glad there is still one industry mag alive.
Is there a way to see if one's subscription is current on Billiards Digest website? It does say that one's subscription "automatically renews." I'm not sure if I'm current or not now. https://www.billiardsdigest.com/new_subscribe/gift_subscriptions/

Flipping thru screens in a digital format just isn't the same as turning pages of a magazine. Searching thru digital catalogs is also much more time consuming than flipping thru a catalog. Its pretty easy to bookmark a few pages for reference when searching or comparing items vs flipping thru screens.
I reached out to Mike Panozzo with BD and he explained the following...

True. But I can read the magazine digitally at night with the light off and my wife asleep without disturbing her.
Eventually she needs to understand that she should be reading it with you. Get two subscriptions. Good luck.
Got mine as a Xmas gift last year. Didn't have the heart to tell my wife I can basically see it fir free. I enjoy the magazine.
Yes you mostly can electronically see it for free, but do you actually do that?
