I was watching the National Geographic channel tonight. They had a program on called "Lock Down" on. They were discussing the jr. college program that was spear headed by an inmate in a California Prison. And when they showed the books piled up on the table in the class room i noticed a white color book cover with several pool balls on it. Does anybody happen to know what the name of this book was/is, & did anyone else see it? was just wondering. Being the pool bug that i am maybe, somebody else saw it and can back me up before people on here start to think that i had had to much to drink for my 58th birthday...............................mike

I saw the program, and believe they may have a book on Billiards in their Library, but no Pool Tables in the Prison. Having been inside a couple of their Prison, I never saw no Pool Tables in the recreation areas.

If they did have a pool table it would soon be without balls, them having all been stolen to be used as weapons.

Yep, you can do some damage with a pool ball in a sock or a pillow case:eek:

Not to mention the stabbing ability you'd have with a broken cue. Let's all pause for a second and think of how many movies had items from a pool table figure prominently within a bar fight. As much as we love the sport, it's not the wisest idea to implement the game as prison recreation.

there's one good one

Thats a good reason to stay out of trouble right there .One
of the best guys I ever hired to work for me is in prison right
now .He cant play pool or darts (which he liked) Bad thing is
I know for about 99.9% he did not do what he got nailed for .

It's impossible for you to be 99.9% sure. People who lived next to Jeffrey Dahmer swore he was the greatest guy on earth.

Right up until they found people steaks in his freezer.

It almost sounds like your worker might have been accused of child molestation. Is that a good guess? If so, I find it highly unlikely he was sent to prison without any physical evidence.

People do horrible things within their homes that nobody would every guess in their wildest dreams.
