A place to download pool vids.
That sounds like something people on here would want to participate in. Any links? I googled it and didn't find anythign that made sense.

Does anyone know when the site wil resurface again. It seemed to last a month or two and went away again.

Keep trying, it comes and goes. The site doesnt need to be up for the torrents to keep working.

Meantime, upload your vids to PoolVids.com. I'm giving away $75 to the best video in February (see link to discussion thread in my sig).

EDIT: I've realized you guys are probably talking about pro matches! PoolVids is really for amateurs to upload videos of themselves playing... Not sure if Billiards Tracker offers that kind of thing, but I've installed azureus to check it out (if/when it comes back online).

it actually does. If DHT is not allowed by tracker admin you can not connect to peers even if they are online. Tracker needs to be up and running in order to work at the top of abilities.

Mosconiac, I'm sad to inform you that the police arrested admin's computers for legislative reasons connected with PAT materials being shared. The tracker will not disappear, it will be established somewhere outside Germany I suppose, so that they didn't have an opportunity to do that again.
As for now, I hope tracker admin does not get fined or worse, because he is not one to be responsible for members' sharing/downloading their HDDs content, I believe.

If you download more than you upload, after a time they disable you. Although I have been disabled twice, it seems you can never upload enough.

Wow, too bad the admin got busted. Hopefully it turns out OK. As far as uploading, I left my computer on for weeks & it didn't help my ratio much. I kept a dozen or more seeds available, but if people aren't pulling data from me...

Try dl'ing the more popular files and keep them seeding. I've got over a 10:1 ratio with over a tigabyte uploaded. Also, if you add new stuff that will really help a lot.

I thought they had outlawed uploading PAT materials on that server anyway?
yes, I think after a claim from PAT publisher the disclaimer was put on. But then the tracker was dead for a couple of months, and when it was back on someone uploaded PAT e-books. I was surprised they were not removed, and too bad it was the reason for all this trouble now.

I d/l the Pat Start e book and it was just a trial version scheduled to expire just after a few days....that might explain why they were left up on the site.

that makes it even worse, the admin suffered for nothing actually worthy. I hope he goes ok eventually (though he suggested he will never see his confiscated computers back - I think that's best if these make the only cost for him)
