Black Boar for Sale

The word from Tony is that it is an early RS-1 that another cuemaker has put some inlays into.
That being said I have no idea how to value this cue, any input would be much appreciated.
Thanks to everyone who responded for helping me learn more about this cue.

Well it deepens who did the Inlays on the cue, but i can tell you this the asking price you have is not gonna happen maby half of what your asking and that still deepens on who did the inlays
but this is just my opinion

I'm sure the butt in the avatar isn't cheap and I think Tony would approve.[/QUOTE]

Agreed 100%. Original price presumed inlays were original. Without knowing who did the inlays, I have no frame of reference to value the cue.
Anyone's thoughts on valuation or speculation as to who might have done the inlays is much appreciated.

When you originally posted the cue for sale, you said you were selling it for a friend. Maybe you could ask him.

Well the way the cue is one original one non original shaft Inlays that you can see glue lines and maby even raised
I would not pay more then $800 for it
But that is just my opinion
good luck with your sale and may the force be with you LOL

I did and he has no idea. He purchased the cue at the US Open 3 years ago and it has been virtually untouched since.

Maybe he could remember who he got it from and contact that person? If the inlays were done by a recognizable cuemaker, it would make a difference. Maybe post it up in the gallery and the cuemaker's forum and see if anybody recognizes or remembers it. As it is, it's a crapshoot. How much did your friend give for the cue 3 years ago?

Yes, Kevin, that's a '92 RS3 in my avitar, and precise is an understatement. A neurosurgeon couldn't do better knifework.
:p
