Black-piano GC's............................

Thanks and for $900 was a steal. But I will take some better pictures at home and I know it is a gc4. The finish is like a piano and has a mirror-like black finish

according to brunswick the finish is called poly black: see link below

The poly black IS a shiny finish but believe me its not the same as BHT finish. I've seen both and the BHT looks like polished show car black. I'm not knocking your table( in fact i'm kinda jealous) but when/if you ever see a GC3 w/BHT finish you'll see what i'm saying. My buddy lucked into his. They had a big women's even in Dallas and sold the tables afterwards. My friend was able to get one.http://www.mrslates.com/purchase_pool_table Scroll down to pic of GC w/BHT.

This is my table before i picked it up. Its hard to tell from the pictures but it is a wet gloss black. I can take some better pictures when i get home tonight

What Poolhall is this ?

That was q-pin2s in West springfield mass but they closed a month or two ago and sold off everything. They had 4 gc4s for 900 and probably 20 gc1-3 for 600

A place in Fall River Ma called Straight Shooters looks very similar back ground and all even a book case just like that in the back drop.

the slates are not pinned like on GCII and I

There is always this option.....GCII....from the now long closed Golden 8-ball in Phoenix, Az....Stripped down to the nuts and bolts....all metal (including trim) powder coated black....All wood (except rail top veneer) sanded and stained black....Sub-Rails replaced and extended and set up (very precisely) by RKC (He had two trainees with him at the time)....modest 4.5 pockets......all of them are exactly 4.5 at the tips to perfection...Not so tight you can't fit a golf ball in the hole, but tight enough you better be accurate........Bed width (exactly) 50".....Length (exactly) 100".....Has over-sized drop pockets that use the original inset mounting allen bolts.

IMHO.....This table plays as good as any GC (or diamond) that you can find.

We had one in my home room in Endicott New York. The owner said it was used in the US Open in 94-95ish. Beautiful table and it played tight!!

I have one, no idea of the year.

It kinda bugs me that the pocket castings are chrome; they reflect too much light:shrug:.

I got worser problems though.

They have one at triple 9s like that. The reflect is a bit much.

Anybody know what years/models Brunswick made the GC with the piano-black finish? A friend has one and its gotta be the best looking GC ever. Very classy look.

1977-1986 is the production years of the GC3 but the high tec black finish was no available throughout all of those years.
