Predator blanks

Hey guys, Duc has mentioned before that these are predator blanks in other threads. The only stipulation for buying these is you have to modify "something" to make it your own. Do a search for theads started by Duc and keyword "predator" and you'll find the one, it's two pages long.

Happy new year everyone, I hope a little good cheer finds us all!

Happy New Year everyone!!

These are custom blanks that were supplied to us and we don't know what logo was there before. We are selling these as custom blanks and you are welcome to do what you please with these blanks. These blanks are near finished and come with the weigh bolt and original bumper, they are striaght and will be great for conversion. We have had several cuemaker convert these to great high end sneeky that have sold for over $750 each. Just straight conversion should bring you at least $175 by adding a wrap or your pin of choice. We also have the 5/16-18 brass pin that will fit perfectly on these blanks if needed.

Yes, the ebony are jet black...I think the picture is over exposed. Anyway, we have a 2 skid of these ebony and have sold several hundreds square thus far. I believe JKMarshall bought some from us so you can ask him about the quality of these blanks, I have already shipped some of these square to Japan, New Zealand, US, Canada and UK and all my clients have been very happy with them. Although shipping cost internationally was very expensive (10 square to New Zealand was $140.00) alone but they are very happy with the quality.

Happy Holiday AZer!!

I believe Dickie at RHN cues also bought some of these blanks, I would suggest also asking him about the quality of these blanks.

These blanks are not the same as the one purchased from RHN cues. I know Dickie and JK Marshall were both very unhappy with our unfinished blanks quality. Those unfinish blanks were our first batch and we didn't have the experience to determine if the blanks were of quality, we had a local cuemaker hand pick them based on his experience that those blanks would be good. I understand that not all cuemakers are the same but we had more clients who were happy with them than those that are not (We sold over 500 blanks in the last half year alone).

We have tried to make amend to both RHN and JK_Marshall and will continue to provide our clients with the utmost satisfaction in there purchase. All of our full splice blanks and exotic turning woods will undergo a lenghty quality control process to ensure that the blanks has the quality grain, straight and have clean veneers. All of our new blanks will be oversize at 1" and 1.35 plus in the butt so that you guys can cut them down appropriately.

If you have any additional questions or have any complaint, please email me directly at dlam0718@gmail.com:):):).

Blanks

I bought ten of the original blanks to make some house cues for a freind of mine. Utterly useless. Big gaps in the veneer work and pretty much already at final size and not straight. Really bad stuff. His solution was to try to discount future order. Never an offer of a refund:mad:  :( IMHO buyer beware.

Steve, you never asked for a refund or let me know what you wanted to do. I replied with a compromise and you never responded. U purchased these blanks on June 19, 2006 and send us a complaint on Aug 8,2006. We replied Aug 9, 2006 with a compromise and you never responded. Why did it take you so long to first complaint? 2nd why didn't you reply to our offer?

Instead of letting me know how you wanted the issue handled, all you did was posted online yahoo and azbilliard saying that my blanks are bad and not to buy from me. Not to mentioned, I provided you with high res pics of the blanks for you to review prior to the purchase.

I have alway provided excellent service to my clients and will continue to do so..but if I don't hear from them I can't do much. The onus is on you to let me know that you have a problem and let me know what you want to do. I did my part by sending a respond with compromise offer to you but you didn't respond.

What are you trying to accomplish? If you wanted my attention to handle this matter, just email me and let me know.

2 other gentleman on AZ had similar issue with these blanks and I did acknowledge the fact that there were some issues with these older blanks and made compromises to both of them. In addtion, I sent all my clients that have purchased these older blanks from us a compromise in case this was not an isolated issue and it was an isolated issue. In batch of 600 plus I'm expected to get 2-5% bad blanks and unfortunately you guys got them. When we first started selling these, we didn't have the knowledge that we now have on what make a quality full splice blanks. We just took from them from our stock and take pics of 10 each batch and email our client so that know what they are getting.

What really tick me off is that you didn't give me the opportunity to make thing right, instead you go public and tell eveyone to be buyer beware?? BTW, Steve you make some really cues! I really like the bushka that you build for one of my client. Email me and let talk.

I have sold over 500 of these blanks worldwide and had 3 people complained about them. 2 of them have been provided with a compromise that they're happy with.

All of our new full splice blanks are oversize and if for any reasons they have bad veneers and/or issues that are cased by manufacture defect, I will be happy to take them back and send you replacement. We recommend to our client that the our full splice blanks should sit for at least 3-4 weeks in your environment before making your first pass and that you need to properly recenter the blanks after each cut to maintain even points. The newer full splice blanks are .97 plus at top and 1.35 plus at bottom. Pics will be available when my stock arrived by the end of this week.

Regards,

Duc,
You did refund me for the ones I sent back.
But, you have to realize we don't like wasting time either.
When we say we want oversized blanks and straight ones, we mean it.
We cannot work with 1.020 at the bottom of the forearm and they already have some warp in them.
To be brutally frank, I could have bought way oversized simple 4 point blanks from a few sources and be happy.
I bet the other makers feel the same way.
If your last batch were bad, you should have never sold them. You could clearly see the bottom of the points were so bad in them, they were not workable at all.

Duc, you did not answer my question. You went around and around regarding what Steve said, but I asked a simple straight forward question out of curiousity to you, which I have not seen an answer.

Do you give refunds if not satisfied, no questions asked?

Kelly

third world mentality and lack of morals....compromise,,,????? giving someone a discount on the next order; phooey ! what about the ones already purchased and can't be used....

apparently does not know how to work in a civilized business world....

not flaming anyone who purchased these blanks, but I won't buy from a middle-man selling chinese sweatshop blanks and try to make a cue from it. buying from a cuemaker ? yes I'll do that.....jmho......j

We were under the impression they were made by Falcon in Canada. :)

not the ones kellyguy and cutter are carping about....

predator hasn't been made in canada for a while now. but cuemaster98 and other incarnations on eBay have been promoting chinese defects for a while....costs too much to return the crap, most eat their loss and don't buy again.

Hi Kelly,

Yes, if you are not happy with the blanks and did not do anything to them, I will refund your money minus our shipping cost. I will normally take pics of the 10 actual blanks to be ship and email them to you first.

Regards,
Duc.

Work in a civilized business world....

Thanks for advertising your opinion and comments on my thread when your not even considering to do any business with me. I thought this was a Cue Machinery section where people list things to buy and sell that is related to building cues but it seem more and more like a place for people with self interest to defame others!

If you got something against "Chinese" made product etc...please start another thread somewhere on the main forum. This is not really an "opinion forum" but thanks for your input. Please have some consideration, you in a civilized world remember!!

All of our full splice blanks are purchased from a canadian manufacturer but they have now moved oversea where all of our new blanks are been made by a $400,000 CNC machine according to our exact specification. I think I let my new full splice quality blanks speak for itself....and let people that buy them form their own opinion. We already have lots of pre-orders for our new blanks around the world and will post feedback from our clients here on the the quality of these blanks.

Regards,
