Blew BIH on 3 balls/WWYD?

I was playing around with this a little today and tried most of the various options and played around with a few others. Hands down the easiest shot was one not suggested yet, afaik. (simple draw shot)
...
I think it may have been suggested in response 35. I'd be uncomfortable with the shot on unfamiliar equipment since both the draw angle and distance traveled depend on the cloth and balls, but I do like to play that shot. The cushions have no chance to surprise you.

The largest problem with draw in a lot of rooms is that the cue ball is not the right size -- either too large or too small due to wear and replacement.

the draw shot was the shot the op tried wasnt it?

Sorta...I tried a draw 'Z' shot, but to the 9ball side of the 8, but got too straight. My posted layout is a little off on the cb placement for the 7. It was a slight cut to the right, low left that bit the first long rail too much, and came off the second long rail too low, and got straight on the 8, that I couldn't shoot out of.

Thanks for the helpful feedback...lots of routes for me to work on.

This is the only drawback  I see to playing shape with a little low. Table conditions and equipment play a major role in how much stroke you get on the cue ball.

I use quite a bit of stun and draw in rotation games, so I always try to get a read on what's going to happen to my cue ball early on. I've never been a fan of rolling the rock and try to firm up most of my shots. It kills the cue ball on the faster cloth and I can create many more angles for position.

Best,
Mike
